Kit is there, on the US Mustangs page...about halfway down the page.
I think its currently the second last item in the B/C section.

Its also here, at ecardmodels.com 1/33 (and 1/50) P-51 Mustang A/B/C Upgrade & Cockpit Kit Paper Model

The Kit has the full cockpit for the A, B or C Mustang
and theres upgraded Landing Gear parts.

I've also included some new Instruction Pages for the Cockpit install.
And a new set of Formers.

Theres also a 1/50 scale Cockpit (and formers) ...so it will fit any early Marek Mustang.

I've also included my "experimental" recessed wheel well modification for the 1/33 Mustang kit.
It works...I built it. But its a fight. And needs some TLC to make it work nicely.

The kit is $4.50...but obviously it can be used with as many models as you want.
If you order a CD thru papermodelshop with a Mustang on it, I'll include the kit for free.
If you bought more than one A/B/C Mustang kit of mine already, just contact me and
I'll send you the kit for free.

(Do I still have your email Curt?...drop me a line, and I will send you the kit)

Just another quick reminder about the Tuskegee Airmen P-51B/C models...

I have two of these kits done and ready to release.
INA The Macon Belle and Topper III

So I will be pulling the existing Tuskegee kits very soon.
Last chance to grab the variant packs if you want them.
If not, wait for the new versions...I think you'll like the updated artwork
and textures...as well as the inclusion of cockpit and other new parts.

I have decided not to try to replace all thirteen Tuskegee models right away.
Just gonna focus on a few of my favorites.
Thats why I have already done The Macon Belle and Topper.

If there is a particular B/C red Tail Mustang that you would like to see updated
first, please let me know.

More Tuskegee Airmen Mustang news...

I've been slowly working on replacement Red Tail Mustangs
and I have a few more B/C models ready.

As I mentioned before, Miss Pelt (Lucky Lester) and Skipper's Darlin' (Jug Turner) are done
along with By Request (Benjamin O Davis), and Joedebelle (Joseph Elsberry).

I'll be posting them in the store soon.

I've also been working on another B/C model Mustang...and its finished too.
The Commemorative Air Force Red Tail Project Mustang.

If you don't know about this plane, you should. This is such a cool project.
This plane honors the Tuskegee Airmen as part of a traveling exhibition.
The paint scheme is a mish mash of things pulled from the four different Tuskegee Airmen Squadrons.
Its the second incarnation of this Mustang, since the first restored version was destroyed in a crash.

Anyway, this will be an exclusive promotional model. Not for sale.
I am planning to give this one away, along with my Miss America Air Racer kit, as a thank you gift for donations.
I'm trying to raise money for a trip to the IPM Convention next month...I'll post more on this real soon.

Stay tuned.

another Air Racer!!

sort of....

in response to the well received Miss America air racer model
and all the requests for more "air racers", I have been on the look out for other designs.
Thanks to Rich and Ray for their suggestions.

Ray and I spotted a great looking and very interesting Mustang at the Air & Space Museum.
This P-51C Mustang was hanging from the rafters and we spotted it right away!

Some photos (that I took) of this plane [Excalibur III] here

So this P51C was built in '44, but may not have gone into service with the USAAF.
It was put up for sale (into Civil service) in '46.
Owner Paul Mantz flew it in the Bendix Air Races from 1946 to 1949, winning two 1sts, one 2nd, and one 3rd place trophies.
He also set a Coast to Coast speed record in 1947.

The Mustang was later owned by Charles Blair and set a record speed NY to London flight in 1951
and made the first Trans Polar flight (Norway to Fairbanks Alaska) later the same year.

The model is already finished and will be released sometime in the next couple of weeks.
(...got a couple of other things in line before it)
I've already given Ray a copy of the model...who knows, we might see something built?

Amazing how long its been since I added anything to this thread!!!
.................................................. .................................

This post relates directly to the recently released P51B GQ-Z 46877 Eisenhower Mustang model
...but might also affect other P51B/C Mustang kits.
This is the reason I am duplicating the post here.

A small error in the Instruction pages of this kit has been brought to my attention.
To be honest, this same error may appear in some earlier kits.
Hopefully whomever builds a kit will work their way through the problem.

There is no part 75X on this model!
(This is because I re-used the Instruct pages from an earlier Mustang release.)

Looks like I reversed the location of two small Formers that fit inside the belly scoop of the Mustang.
Formers N and O ...are shown reversed on the first page of the Instructions.
They are correctly positioned on the later page (in the 3D cutaway drawing).

Thanks to Shane for the photo.

To be honest, its a small issue since the formers themselves are almost exactly the same shape and size.
And you must also consider this is not an overly complicated design (of model).
It doesn't have the precision of many high end models and may require a little creative tolerance.
The lower scoop area of this Mustang has always required a bit of patience to get it right.
Depending on how you assemble the lower parts, you might find switching formers around improves things! lol
Sometimes I rush through things, don't fit parts eaxctly right, and end up trimming, bending, squeezing other parts into place.
So, I never expect any kit to be perfectly accurate.

Anyway...I have uploaded a newly edited version of the model with the Instruction page updates.
If you bought it from ecardmodels, just log-in and download it again (from your account).
You will receive the newest version when you re-download.
(...and remember to delete the older version!)

Sorry for the inconvenience.
