Digital file...download as a PDF
Jim...John posted what I was going to say. If I produce a 1/16 kit, each page can easily be printed at 64% which will give you a 1/25 kit. So no need to produce multiple kits...I'll just add the instruct for printing. Judging by the responses so far, a 1/16 kit seems to be the way to go. And I know I will enjoy a bigger model on my shelf! ... Some more thinking out loud... I plan on a working drivers hatch, to reveal a Driver's compartment. Not going to go overboard, but a few basic structural elements so you can peek into the hatch and see something. Engine and radiator compartments with removable or opening panels to reveal some simplified mechanical components. Turret will not contain internal details. However I want to make the turret rotatable. Still batting around the idea of rolling wheels and movable Track. Track...not sure on how far to go with it. How detailed, how many parts, how flexible and articulated it should be?

Rolling wheels and movable track sounds a bit of a gimmick
I would go all out on the wheels and track, detail wise. Tim |

so try to put in the detail elements but not worry about actual moving wheels or gears? sounds good to me.

Dave, only as a thought:
Rolling wheels are a lot harder to build and make them looking good, because of the neccessary play they can easily get crooked. I wonder if it's worth the extra effort design-wise. How many times will you move it when built? But anyways, I'm eagerly awaiting you solving the problems! Thorsten |

if it was me, it would be rolling down the Hall every time I got the chance!!
I agree...too much trouble for what its worth. Only reason I brought it up was when I did the Little Willie tank, I designed the Track sponsons in such a way, that the Track can be rotated. There are no drive gears or wheels, but the track could still move if you wanted it too. And that made me wonder if I could make an actual rolling Tank with wheels on axles? Don't worry, I have already dropped the idea. lol

I hope I did not destroy a big dream... It's not my design, it was only a thought.

Dave, Love your work.
The time spent making things "work" could be used to add more details to the interior/engine. The added details would be more pleasing to the modeler than working wheels/tracks. Movable/removable turret is about the limit for most paper armor models due to the fraglity of the medium. Just my two farthings worth, Travis |
