Nice humvees. Thanks, Dave.
Here are some pics of the camo.

Went together very easy, just right for young model builders. Making very sharp bends help in keeping the sides close to the body.

Great one, Dave! Easy and effective!

The scale is perfect for this model! Sharing at the blog.

Greetings from Brazil!

Mauther

wow...the undercarriage colour is missing!

I just checked...seems when I "optimize" the PDF, it removes the undercarriage layer.
I never even noticed.

I'll have to update the files.
Give me a few minutes.
Sorry.

Okay...update!!

...

I fixed the PDFs...seems when I optimize the file, it makes the shaded undercarriage area disappear!
Not sure why.
Must be a layering thing.

Anyway, I have fixed that and created new PDFS.

While I was doing that...I decided to alter the plain Humvee to be a proper "sand" colour.
I prefer the idea of having one Green (Camo) and one Sand (Desert) colour.

So, I have modified the new files with the colour change.

...

Land Rover...
I already have half of one done!
It will be a Defender, but an older model.
Mid sixties.
This way I can do a green Army version and a Zebra Daktari version!

This model was made for a specific purpose.
For people (like Don Boose) to use at Military and Paper Modeling events as a giveaway
and learning tool.
I'm really not that interested in Humvees.
It was just an obvious choice.

The HUmvee is a really cool vehicle.
But the fact is I really do not like civilian Hummers.
I won't go into that.
So, I have to say "sorry, but I have no plans..."
like the one in the pics that I posted ! a papermodel one would you like me to post it here? but it's not army one thou.

okay, I'm going with a more modern version of the Defender.
70s? 80s

Still got the look of the traditional Rover, but with the flatter grille, smoother sides, etc.
A little more agreeable with the boxey easy-build model approach.

Question is...for an Army version (British?), should I go with solid Army Green
or a camo? The earlier British camos appear to be a two-tone dark and lighter.
(The tri-colour is much later, I think)

whats that got to do with solid green versus camo green? lol

my Humvee already has slide in tabs...they work...no need to change anything
(if thats what you're suggesting?)

lets move on, okay?

Two-tone looks good and the design is different enough from the Humvee.
