Dave was wondering how hard these would be at smaller size by novice builders, so I figured that meant me.

I printed at two pages per page to get in the 1:50/1:60 range where most of my models fall. I'm not a gamer, but I have a decent collection of terrain pieces should I ever get started again. I wanted to see how fast I could build the two hummers. From print to post, it took 45 minutes, which includes taking photos, sending them to my computer and then making the post. Unfortunately I forgot to turn off the margins when I printed, so these are slightly smaller than my target scale. They are shown with Chris Roe's M11 vehicle from Genet Models.

I did these the 'no-glue' method. I was thinking about how cool it would be to have fold-flat vehicles that I could pull out and put together, then fold flat again for storage. I will probably glue them, because they will still nest. I can have many vehicles stored in slightly more space than would be required for one.

and by special request, a couple more "Easy Build" models!

Land Rover Defender
in military camo paint scheme
and a "Safari" version...reminder of that 60s show "Daktari"

1/32 scale, just like the Humvee model
but these are a lot smaller (next to the Humvee model)
I guess its accurate though...the Humvee is a pretty large vehicle.

Find them in the same place as the Humvee models.
Enjoy.

Very nice Dave, appreciate it. I'll be printing a few and distributing when possible.

Nice work on the 1/50 versions, VK.

Two excellent additons to the stable, Dave. I think these easy-built models will be a big hit.

Many thanks for designing these and for your generosity in making them freely available.

Don

well, thats it for the "easy build" models (for now)

I am still working on the Centurion Tank....things are actually moving forwards!
And I am working on two special request models...a special B24D
and another P51D air racer.
I've also got four different Koolwheelz models started!
So hopefully some new stuff over the next couple of months.

A special request B-24, sounds cool.

Got your Spitfire (beer truck) and a SAAF F-51D printed out on A3. New scale is approximately 1:24. Should be fun!

After the week I just had, I decided I needed to do the Rovers tonight.

I went ahead and glued them, since they also nest together and do not take much space. I'm going to go back and glue the Hummers, but not tonight.

I truly appreciate the generous nature of this hobby. I have built several of these for a game recently, saving me $$ from having to purchase plastic.
