Yes! Dave's tutorials are always exceptionally helpful - clear, thoughtfully and conscientiously designed, and a pleasure to view.

Glad you found this build thread.
It should help you.

And Michael...remember, if you find an error or something you don't like,
feel free to post it in public view.
If its an error that I need to fix, I would rather all my customers knew about it.

In that regard, Michael has alerted me (in a private message) to a small colour error in the Snafu kit.
I just posted about this in the Snafu P47 thread.

The side vent doors (optional open door parts) have the wrong colour stripe on them.
It should be blue...its part of the USAF insignia...but its red.
The fuselage part is okay, but if you chose to use the extra detail parts, they would look funny.
Just like yo momma in army boots!

Anyway....go read the Snafu thread.

Dave,

A minor point. Part 24A is labeled as 37A on your exploded view in the kit's directions.

LOL yeah...every other P47 kit has that mixed up part number.
Its been brought to my attention many times!
haha
I have fixed a few kits but every time I update a model, I seem to forget again to update that part number.

Most people figure it out...and those that don't, hopefully ask and I explain.

Dave,

No biggie but you don't have a pitot tube (at least I can't find one).

Michael

Dave,

As well as the pitot tube there doesn't seem to be a radio aerial. I will just make one out of scraps that are colored OD.

I think a Pitot tube is a pretty small item on most aircraft.
1/32 scale is still not quite big enough to do a paper version.

Where is the pitot on a Thunderbolt? its near the end of the wing right?
Looks like a little harpoon.
At 1/32 scale, not much more than a piece of wire.

Theres probably plenty of details that are not included.
I have to leave something for the "detailer"!

Radio Antenna should be there?
Which P47 did you get?...SNAFU?
Maybe it got lost in transit or something.
I'll check.

...
yup.
