Headed me off at the pass Johnny. As soon as I saw that you had completed the Indian, I was ready to ask for pics. Then I read the rest of your post. Brother, you're 80% done! Really looking forward to pics from this collection.
Did the gloves help you at all?

KoolWheelz models recognition in a Magazine article!
Last year I was contacted by a member of the Speed Record Club www.speedrecordclub.com
Carl Dreher writes articles for the Club Magazine: Fast Facts. Fast Facts is a quarterly magazine available exclusively to members of the Speed Record Club. You can download a "sample" copy of the magazine here: Fast FACTS Carl was preparing an article for the "Modeling Matters" section of the magazine, on miniature Land Speed Record vehicles...entitled "LSR Modeling on a Budget" In his search for reference material, he had come across my recently released model of the 1935 Campbell Bluebird. Not only did he attempt building the model, but he contacted me looking for more information. I answered a few questions and gave him permission to use my model in his article. He also mentions other LSR vehicle models I was working on at that time, and includes a couple of photos of the Campbell Bluebird model. He inadvertently credits me with the invention of paper modeling...my apologies to other designers! lol ...but does a great job of explaining the hobby and my contribution. A fun read...and I thank Carl for including me in the article. Please do not reproduce or reshare the article, since it is only with permission I share part of this exclusive Magazine. Here's the article contents that showcase me and my work: The entire two-page article:

oh this isn't the first time..
But thanks for the congrats. It is a good article (on LSR toys), I agree. As an airbrusher, I got mentioned in a lot of magazines and newspaper articles but its always fun to read your name in print! lol Except when its Court documents.

Anyone know anything more about Bloodhound SSC?
Their website seems to be lacking any real news or up-to-date reports. The most current items posted are about a "Rocket Challenge" for schools and some promotion and education going on in African schools. The schedule (last year) called for UK testing around Easter (2016) ...which obviously didn't happen... and actual Speed runs in October. Have their been setbacks or what?

Just been checking up on the Bloodhound SSC,
as I do regularly, and the news is not good (in my opinion). Obviously the Land Speed Record attempt is now 3...or 4 years behind schedule? And theres been a lot of money poured into this project ...and they are still in overdrive Fund Raising mode. That seems to be their only focus...events to raise more cash. News on their website is pretty sparse when it comes to exactly why they haven't run yet. But I am beginning to think it will never really make a speed record attempt. ...maybe its a failure, and they just don't want to admit it? Maybe, all it can do is drive up and down a runway...which is what they plan on doing in late October. (I guess that guarantees a Speed attempt is out (again) for this year?) Seems the public can pay a ridiculous admission price to view the car in Cornwall England and see the car "run" on an Airport runway. It reads like every other static display event they have held except now they claim the car will run for the very first time. The cheapest ticket is on Public Day at £65 a head! Not sure what "run" means. The airport runway is only 1.7km long, so it aint gonna run too far. And it definitely aint gonna run too fast! Sorry, but I am considerably less optimistic about this car now. I was really stoked five years ago.

Yeah, i read the same stories, although their website and facebook page still indicate that in 2018 they plan on running in South Africa.
You can still send money for a selfie on the car too. North American Eagle is still doing percentage power runs, no real idea as to when they plan to go for the speed record they want.
