Is this Sonic 1?
Craig Breedlove's Spirit of America 1965 edition? Are you asking for something in paper? or what exactly are you waiting for?(I don't think its gonna run again?!) Thats a pretty complicated shape to do in paper. If I stylize it enough...like i did with the CN7 Bluebird...I might be able to work something out. The problem with some of these cars is that they are just too curvy. For small scale that gets extra difficult. But also trying to make it a one sheet/minimal part count model is super difficult.

Sorry, I meant the LSRV, which Breedlove sold to Fosset. I was just stating that it would have been nice to see if the LSRV could make a run but after Fosset died it is now just languishing.
But if you want to design a Sonic 1 Spirit of America, I won't dissuade you. ;>) |

please post photos. and again, if its a complicated curvy shape, its extremely difficult to do (koolwheelz style) thats why there are so many LSR vehicles I have not done. Breedlove's very first Spirit, I think, would be a tough one to do. ...is that the one you mean or probably something later? I must go read up on this...Fosset/Breedlove. I'm no expert on these cars.

ah...okay...now I see the vehicle.
Peggy Fossett put it up for sale in 2010? This is all I found so far. https://www.carthrottle.com/post/ste...a-up-for-sale/

John posted back on post 101 a picture of the Breedlove version of the Spirit of America, before it went to Fosset

All a bit too complicated for KoolWheelz models I think
and I can't do every LSR vehicle, I have to pick and choose. One day, I'll get back to these and sort out a couple that are really worth doing.

Sorry, but I'm becoming very disillusioned with this project...
[Quote] The Bloodhound supersonic car, driven by Royal Air Force Wing Commander Andy Green, undergoes a test run at the airport in Newquay, England, on October 26, 2017. The Bloodhound supersonic car is taking part in its first high speed trials today and aims to break the current world land speed record in South Africa in 2019. Thats right...its been pushed back again another 2 years...its now 2019.

Well, at the end of the day all the recent British Speed attempts have relied on limited sponsorship and public donations.
Given the cost (60mullion US, 2/3rds for the car, 1/3 for the actual attempt), that is a huge amount of money to raise privately. And sometimes it trickles in and this slows everything down. I have already donated what i could afford and know many others who have as well. Thrust and Thrust 2 were the same. Thrust nearly never ran as the fuel price went up and there was a last minute scramble to raise more money - all public funded. A burger chain also pitched in and feed everyone for two weeks. Because these are really amateur efforts (no one gets money for helping or participating) and public funded, there will always be funding issues and delays. You can donate here to help speed up the project.....every bit helps. Average donations are a couple dollars only! Support us | BLOODHOUND SSC

Understood...and I don't mean to belittle the project in any way.
I guess the solution is to stop saying it will run and when. Just say "one day, when we get there, it will run...in the meantime, just enjoy the pretty car" LOL?

"FIRST EVER BLOODHOUND SSC PUBLIC RUN"
Live facebook streaming I'm guessing this was a bit disappointing for many spectators who expected a longer run, and maybe something louder and faster... but it appeared to be a successful "test" session for the car and team. As the commentator states near the end of the show, the car appears to perform effortlessly. You really get the impression that 200mph in 8 seconds was as easy as your family car backing out the driveway. I hope this isn't misleading...and the car really can do more. Its a shame not to see the car with all bodywork in place. Half the car appears to be removed. The design has changed a few times over the years...I really want to see the final look. I might have to update my model!
