More Tutors! CL-41, CT-114, CL-41G

Readying the next Tutor kit for release...
this time its the CL-41G variant built for the Royal Mayasian Air Force.

This "ground attack" variant has:
- an improved Jet Engine (not visible in the paper model, lol)
- modified Landing Gear (the kit has wider Tires for soft ground operations)
- additional mounting points for underwing and fuselage armaments

I've included, in the kit, iron and fuel bombs.

Should be ready to go next week...first week of the New Year....happy New Year!

Before anyone asks...

next Tutor will most likely be a standard RCAF version.
Bare metal finish.

And after that, a Red Knights scheme.

And then, I'll take a good look at the X version - the CL-41R.
If i can figure out how to add the nose extension...

A wonderful job on the 41G. I'm looking forward to seeing the bare metal one and the others. For the 41R, besides the saddle bags, it looks like a revised section ahead of the cockpit to accommodate the rear-folding nose wheel and then the conical nose will work great to your kit. A very unique addition to the lineup.

Red always looks great on the model shelf, tho' still looking for a yellow Tutor somewhere out there - maybe will have to do a special fantasy repaint to look like an Avro Tutor .

Keep up the great work.

Regards,
John

Well, I just started work on the next Tutor model...a Canadian Air Force version...
and yes, I still have to release the Tebuan (Malaysian AF) version!

I've also got a Mustang kit (Mustang Sally) ready to go.

I finally settled on the exact Canuck tutor for the model.
I might do another version, since there are a few variations,
but i needed to settle on something for the next model.
The basic markings for the RCAF/CAF Tutors changed a little bit over the 20 plus years of service.
There are four main paint schemes/marking layouts...but there are a many more variations in the 1960s during early design and testing phases.

Anyway, I finally settled on paint scheme v.2...circa early 1970s.
Mainly because of the rear fuselage marking placement.
Its simple and easy...looks good...and I don't have to fight with minor inaccuracies in shape and size.
In fact, this is the aircraft I will represent (CT-114 14080):

But, it seems I got a bit sidetracked with a Boat.
Last week I was bored one evening...nothing on TV...and I decided to start a totally different build.
Been thinking about doing one of these for some time, but putting it off because its not a small project.
Since I finished the Tebuan build...and hadn't started on the RCAF build...I had no paper builds on the go.
So, it took all my attention away from the computer, and the models I am currently designing.

For those of you waiting to see the Tebuan model, I promise to get it published asap.
Oh, and that Mustang too.

I have some new KoolWheelz models started too!...lol... no idea when I'll get back to those though!

Update...to keep you updated...

still working on things...including this RCAF Tutor!

Everything seems to be going well.
No major adjustments.
But it will take a while since I am doing a full assembly: cockpit, clear canopy, landing gear, speed brake details and optional fuel tanks.
