The Batmobile 2015 seems a bit intense to jump into. I would still prefer the tumbler but i'm game to try whatever is chosen. I'm really enjoying the build tutorial.

I'm mostly looking for skill building, and increasing challenge. And the fun of trading notes during the group build! The model subject is of only minor interest to me. The Lunar Rover would fit the theme of the upcoming IPMC Convention, but after I looked at the assembly instructions, I see Dave's point about it not being the best choice from an instructional standpoint. Dave, do you want to suggest which one or two might be good instructional subjects, or are you concerned about unduly influencing the selection?

The new Batmobile (2015) is not that hard once you figure out where everything goes.
That one defintely needed a diagram on the sheet!

The Tumbler is getting modified.
But I am not sure how soon.
I will need to test build it when it gets done, so we can definitely do a group build with that one.

The 89 Batmobile is good for working with some oddly shaped add-on bits.
Good for folds and bendy bits.
But it doesn't have full wheels or anything like that.

The Lunar Rover is definitely a good choice for learning how to build various shapes and objects.
I just thought it wasn't really that hard of a model to build
and the fact that there is an Assembly sheet for it...
I take back it not being a hard model, since its got a lot of very small parts to deal with.

The JPL Van has a few things that would be good for a tutorial
but its not really everyone's cup of tea.

Hmmm...more thinking.

Optimus...six wheels, two closed cylinders

Rover ...four wheels, one closed cylinder

I know which one I like!

six wheels, two closed cylinders sounds like a lot of good practice.

I hadn't really much interest in that one, until now ... as a teaching tool. It could be interesting

To be honest I've not advanced any further than my last post here. Too much other stuff goin' on around me lately. Garden chores that have just gotta be done, and family problems all over the place (Them not me). So when I do get a moment to myself, my fingers are in rag order and too sore to do any modeling. So y'all carry on without me for now. I'll catch up when I can, but I'll still be tuning in to watch every night.

I suppose that patience, dedication, perseverance, living through frustration, and stomping a half built model are lessons that have to be learned.

A part of me wants to see Professor Airdave teach through all that.
