so...somebody finally felt the need to cast a vote for "no steenkin' models".

you just had to share that pearl of wisdom, didn't you?!
just had to cast a negative vote.

well, let me say something...

ever since I started this koolwheelz project, I have reiterated the fact
that I make koolwheelz models for me first.
I model cars that have special meaning or interest to me.
I sometimes get ornery when I receive many suggestions for subjects that don't interest me.

But I recognize that everyone has their own interests.
And I don't expect everyone else to have the same interests as me.
You aren't gonna like all my KoolWheelz subjects...maybe not any of them!

So...Aero...you have my full APPROVAL for casting a vote in that way.
Especially since I included that vote option!
LOL
I think its great that we have such diversity of interest
and that we can choose to like or not like every interest.

I hope this doesn't start a trend of negative votes, but I am totally okay with this!
Now go away (aero) and play with your Airliner models! lol

I am totally fascinated and perplexed by the constant shift in votes.
Now the Red Baron has taken the lead with the Capri model!
Yesterday I honestly thought the Aston was a shoe in!
By the time I write this, it may have changed again!

LOL
This is so cool.
I am really enjoying this Poll thing.

How long should I let this run for?
I set the Poll for 12 days.
How about we wrap it up Sunday night?
I could tally the votes on Sunday...and post the first model around suppertime?
Or, is there another suggestion?

5' 6" ...so pretty short. But I make up for it in volume.

I don't want to discuss actual finances here.
But I worked out a plan and all the related costs at the beginning of the year
(to cover the drive to Virginia, the IPMC affair, and another 2-3 days of Hotel and Museum visits...for two people)

and to date, I have raised only about half of my estimated requirement.
(Its been a slower year for sales, than past years. I'm sure everyone else feels the pinch.)

My hobby must pay for itself...thats a requirement I came up with a few years ago.
I exist on a tight personal budget.
My hobby is an expense I sometimes cannot afford.
So I sell models and ask for donations
and everything I earn from Model sales, donations, and related income...
goes straight back towards all my model related expenses*.

*This includes not just models, supplies and tools...
but also computer software and hardware upgrades,
and various related expenses for shows and paper model events.

I appreciate the question...
its nice to know I have some support and interest from other members.

hey...if I don't make enough for the trip this year, theres always next year, right?

I haven't figured out how to change a vote.
(lol yes, I voted on one model just for fun)

unless its a mod?...can a mod change their vote?
is a mod changing votes?!

no, no one can edit their votes, I can't even go into the backoffice and change or delete a vote

some people are not using both of their votes, then again, there is one who voted for all of the files.
