One little hint, when doing the rear wheel parts of the Porsche 935, cut and fold the tab that goes under the door first, when you still have the entire piece attached to the surrounding paper.
This is will allow you to have a sharper crease, and not run the risk of making the tapered end go wavey. Picture to follow in a bit Hope this helps someone when building this car, or models which have this type of part geometry. Rick

When folding a part like that I will always clamp the thinnest side and fold the widest side.
But your idea of folding before you cut is an excellent one! I hope I remember next time.

I did that too with the other side, used a straight edge to fold the tab, then I thought of the cut before the rest

In my slow effort to catch up to the Colonel, I present my version of the 2nd place finisher of the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans.
This was a fun build, to me it was one of my better builds, although there are some glue errors, and an ever so slight offset when tapping on the wheels, but I can deal with it. I hope you like the pictures. Any questions about the kit, just ask Rick

Looks great, Rick! We will have a nice little display of Koolwheelz at the International Paper Modelers Convention in November, especially if Anne builds a few.
I agree with your technique of folding long, thin, and/or delicate parts before fully cutting them out. Don |

wow ...[tear in my eye] ...all great builds....[sniff sniff]
Its just wonderful to see all this effort. lol okay...nice work guys!...thanks I'm sure there will be a great showing of KoolWheelz models at the IPMC this year. Too bad I will miss it. Yes. You heard correctly. I have been given some bad news today. Well, not "bad" news, just disappointing for me. I appreciate everyone who has bought a model, bought a shirt, made a donation... it really helps...and I will be continuing my efforts with fundraising. I have not reached my intended goal (for my IPMC and Washington trip) yet, but to be honest, I'm close enough that I could make it happen. Unfortunately my Daughter is in a different place. She has a farm to run and Horses to take care of. And her Fiancee has confirmed that he will be in his last year of Apprentice school from October to December. This leaves my Daughter alone to work her job and maintain the farm she lives on (her Fiancee usually helps out as much as he can, allowing some time to herself). She also relies on her Fiancee to take care of her four Horses when she cant. So, she informed me this morning that she will not be able to make the trip this year although she has given me approval and confirmation for next year. I told her it was "okay" and that life must come first. ...and I said "well, if nothing else, it gives me more time to pad my account". And thats about all I can say to you guys at this point. It'll be a shame to miss the event again, but I am already looking forward to next year. And I can't say no to my kid.
