Sorry we won't see you at IPMC this year, Dave. Be warned, this gives me more time to torment you with more models of CATS. But it gives me more time to slip in some KoolWheelz models as well. You do have sound reasons for your begging off this year, so I won't harass you about it too much. See you in 2018.

Anne, its funny you say that,
because earlier this year, when I first started thinking about the trip, I thought "what paper cats will I have to put up with?". I had already planned to check the ceiling and other places, when i got there!

Metrokab
And a question: In the trailers to the film, K is shown entering an imposing building that has the Korean hangul characters 행은 (haengeun) inscribed on the doors.
To the best of my knowledge and belief, 행은 is meaningless, while 은행 (eunhaeng) means "bank," which would make sense. [It also means "gingko," as in gingko tree, which led me to make a silly joke with Korean friends: "은행 나무에서 돈을받을 수 있습니까?" (Eunhaeng namueseo don-eulbad-eul su issseubnikka? -can you get money from a gingko tree?)] Can someone whose Korean language skills are better than mine tell me if 행은 (haengeun) does mean something that would make sense in the context of the film. Or is it a typo for "bank"? Or is this some kind of inside baseball term known to all Blade Runner aficionados? In any event, I hope to get the Goodyear Grabber Olds done tomorrow, so we must be getting close to that Audi. Don |

Thanks for the encouragement, Papermate and gotham. Much appreciated.
I just realized that I put this in the wrong thread and that the Metrokab wasn't one of the Release Party models. Sorry, Dave! I got confused between cabs and kabs. Will get to work on the Grabber. Don |

Don, I think the building you are referring is where K finds Deckard. And its definitely not a Bank. Its a Hotel/Casino for sure. That lettering on the front windows must be seen in reverse (from the inside). My Korean is very rusty... mainly, because I can't read or speak Korean... so I'm having a hard time recognizing it. But I think it says "Hotel"... Theres definitely an H, and an O and a T and a sideways L there. LOL However Korean language wasn't really a part of the original film. Japanese was....but not Korean. So it seems odd that Korean has been included this time. I guess its possible (but unlikely) that its related to cityspeak (from the original film). "Cityspeak, gutter talk, a mishmash of Japanese, Spanish, German, what have you." I have no other answer for you. But thanks for that Metrokab.
