Stage Fright: never heard of that one; but then I tended to really dislike those things about like I do rat rods now.

The Kookie Car was build by Norm Gabrowski and was a cover car on Hot Rod magazine in 55. It was in 2 or 3 movies before it was in 77 Sunset Strip. His next car was a full fendered based off of a 24 T touring which he sold to the prop master of "My Mother The Car" and after some changes became the series car. George Barris then build a camera car version with hidden controls for stunt work.

Well...I have at least four more Koolwheelz models ready to go.
and working on more!

But, understandably...this time of year...too many things happening.

I'd love to see a build of Stage Fright?
or Little Willie...or the Parisienne?

oh wait, Mike built the Pontiac. Good on ya Mike.

So, maybe I should wait until the New Year before I release any more?
Next week you guys will be busy with Racepaper's models once they start appearing.

I'm still thinking on it.
I'll keep working on models, and maybe create a "January Release Party"!
What do you think?

Dear Air Dave and friends:
Have I ever said how I HATE making Wheels? I do very much HATE making Wheels. I am 3/4 done on second wheel of the HMMV. Also it would have been nice to have a axle template to know how long to cut the tooth picks. After much head scratching (see bald Head) I cut them the width of the roof. So there will be pictures in the future. Nice Detail in a small model
Thanks,
Miles

Miles...I hate wheels too!!!
Thats one reason why a lot of my Koolwheels models have flat 2D wheels.
Its only because of the incessant whining and complaining that I add 3D wheels.

LOL
just kidding folks....its not really incessant.

But I do hate making wheels.

Re wooden toothpick axles.
I generally leave this as a "mod" or builder's preference.
Sometimes I may suggest using a toothpick for an axle (as an option).
But its not usually a required part of the model.

As far as the Humvee model is concerned, it tells you to "glue the wheels" in place.
The toothpick axle is only a secondary suggestion/option.
So there will be no added "axle template" ...no matter how much you whine.
LOL

But...to be honest, I never thought it was too hard to figure out.
Your axle is:
Chassis width (which is usually pretty straight forward) or Body (if theres no chassis)
PLUS
the width of two wheels (use the tread strips for the wheel depth).

Miles.
If your axle is only the width of the roof, you won't have enough axle to insert into the wheels?

Dear AirDave:
Gotcha Dave the tires on the HUMV do not stick out past the Wheel wells same width as roof line so so far the toothpick axles stick out beyond the inter black dohicky Should work. Even though I hate making 3D tires I feel that the model is vastly improved from the 2D tires, I approve of some of your resent models that have the tire tread glued to the 2D tire as a better workaround.
Thanks,
Miles

OH...RIGHT...the humvee tires are tucked inside, right.

so your axle length might work.
I guess if i looked at the model, I mighta figured that out.

well, good luck then.
