Who needs, or wants an A Team van when there's ECTO-1 ? It has a stripe, but not a tapered stripe - an' that's the difference, plus it is kool.

Ecto-1 better than BA's Van?
Well the only way to truly get your point across, is to build it!

I want to see all my Koolwheelz models built,
but its also fun to see how you augment and modifiy the models.

I concede that they are simplified, and sometimes lack a lot of detail
but this is a by-product of trying to keep the part count down and the construction simple.
This can be just as challenging as designing a more complicated model.

The Ecto-1 was challenging for many reasons...
one being the upper body and how it all connects at the rear.
Making it boxy, simplified and easy to build, was a difficult task.

Another challenge was the Roof Rack and its Accessories.
Much of the stuff up there is very small to deal with on a Koolwheelz level.
And I don't have the room (on one sheet) for too many parts.

I know some may not like the box simulation I created for the roof
...so...
lets see what you can do with it?

or not.
Build it as is.
As Shia LaBoeuf said Just build one!

Will get back to paper modelling...soon. Just been working 8 days with no day off, slightly tired - too tired to paper model, without chopping my fingers off.

Well, its Memorial Day in the US, so I know many of you are focused on that.
Whats the correct phrase?..."Happy Memorial Day" obviously isn't correct.

Hopefully you get my point...Canada and Commonwealth countries have our "Remembrance Day" in November.
And the only phrase we use is "Lest we forget".
We don't really go around saying "Happy Remembrance Day".

My point is I have a whole new batch of Koolwheelz models designed... built and ready to release!
8 unreleased models!
And, as I mentioned before, we shall have some fun seeing if you guys can identify the first of this batch.

But today is not the day to start this...
instead, I think I'll wait until next week...or maybe sooner...before we start the guessing game.

in fact, I'm going to ask again to see Koolwheelz builds.
C'mon, someone try Ecto-1 yet?
Or what about the Landmaster?
BSG models?
...anything?

"Have a Thankful and Thoughtful Memorial Day" is what I always say. If you haven't seen it please look for my "Names on a Black Wall" post in the Lounge.

Took a break from some long term projects to build out Ecto-1 (which is only fair, since I was stinking up the joint over Ecto-1 ). Just have a couple of the rooftop details left, hope to finish it up this afternoon. So Ecto-1 incoming soon...
