Not precisely a famous film in this part of the world.
I would have never guessed correctly.

There are so many things that were done well in that movie

Dear AirDave:
Only Christmas movies in our house are 1951 Christmas carol with A. Sims and "You will shoot your eye out kid" Never saw any of the National Lampoon movies.
Oh well,
Miles
Still was fun to follow along

Sim's Scrooge is the best...there is no argument from me.
But I was always bothered by the quality of that film.
Even for 1951...it looks like it was filmed in the 1920s.
The low cine quality ruins it for me.

A Christmas Story really doesn't do it for me.
In fact, I never understood the hype around that one.
I watched it last December, and although it was nice to see Daren McGavin again, I didn't like it.
The story is just full of sadness (if you ask me). Its not a happy film.

National Lampoon's Vacation and Christmas movies are iconic in American comedy and film.
Las Vegas, and European Vacations were okay, but weak sequels.
Christmas Vacation is all about Holiday fun and frustrations we can all relate to.
Love him or loathe him, Chevy Chase was a prat fall master and comedic legend.
That whole period in the 70s and 80s, with the National Lampoon, Saturday Night Live
and the Not ready for Primetime Players is an extremely important part of American Movie and TV Comedy history.

When it comes to Christmas movies...there are many good ones that I enjoy seeing over and over
...like Scrooged, The Grinch, Christmas Vacation and The Santa Clause

but if I could only watch one movie each year,
it would have to be Its A Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart.
There is no more touching film.

[Clark Griswold] - "Cousin Eddie's out on the street again...and whats he doing with that hose?"

Apparently a lot less people are interested in this model (than I thought would be).
Which isn't a big concern, since I pick Koolwheelz subjects for me.
But, I still like to present things that are of interest to others...
and on that note, might I suggest you watch National Lampoon's Vacation and Christmas Vacation, if you haven't seen them.
Try to get the original uncut, uncensored versions.
Both movies are aired a lot on regular TV, and are (in my opinion) over edited and censored...and ruined.
Theres nothing X-rated in the original cuts, just makes a lot more sense.

I love the Vacation films. I was a huge fan of Saturday Night Live and the comedic cast that included Chevy Chase.
I saw every Chevy Chase film...including the National Lampoon Vacation films.
And, I rewatch Christmas Vacation every year...its on my list of annual must-see Holiday themed movies.

I think one of the best parts of Christmass Vacation (...there are so many!...) is the appearance of Cousin Eddie and his family.
Long before Randy Quaid went psychotic and moved to Canada, he played some great characters...like the beer swilling Cousin Eddie.

And his RV has become an icon of comedy films.
Thats why I felt it deserved to be in my Koolwheelz collection.

The motorhome itself is a Ford Condor II...roughly 1972 edition.
I don't know what happened to the original film vehicle...there is a clone motorhome, maybe built for an amusement park?
Its photos are all over the interwebs, claiming to be the original, but the rust patterns and exterior details are quite different.
I did my best to grab as many actual screen shots as I could (from the original film) and use those as visual reference for the artwork.

There really isn't anything special about the vehicle, other than how weathered it looks, to distinguish it as the movie vehicle.
Thats why I also included the Septic drain hose and Cousin Eddie cutout!
Display it on "snow" and you've got a moment in movie history!

This is the third RV/Camper I have added to the Koolwheelz collection.
I honestly don't know if thats the start of a new sub-section...lol...but RV are turning out to be a lot of fun!

Find this one in the StarCarz section at my website!
There will be no assembly sheet for this one...its a fairly simple assembly.

So, it looks like most of you have vacated or lost interest in this?
Or am I just misreading the lack of posts?

If you want to do this again...the 20 Questions...for the next model,
we can, and I am ready for it.

Its totally up to you guys...but you're gonna have to let me know.

----------------------------
I could offer up another reward if that made it more interesting for you?
But what do I offer?
I am reluctant to keep offering "your choice Koolwheelz" because it means more work for me.
And possibly work that doesn't interest me! lol

----------------
So, heres my offer...
there are still 5 more unpublished Koolwheelz to go.

Whomever guesses the identity of each of them, gets to suggest a Koolwheelz design.
It must follow the guidelines I posted earlier.

When we are done with these 5 Koolwheelz releases, I'll have 5 suggestions for another model.
And then we can vote...have a Poll...
and pick from those 5, the winning choice for a future Koolwheelz model.

Thats the reward for participating in 5 more rounds of 20 Questions Koowlheelz style.
