REALLY?
Nobody has anything negative to say? You're all okay with that? LOL Well, I wouldn't be. I'd be saying "what the heck...field inversion?! whats that?" ..."Nascar?" "Whats Nascar got to do with this?!" and "Hey...thats not the game I signed up for!" Wow...you guys are too lazy. ...

Protests? I was too stunned to react at first. Then I was going to cry, right here in the forum. Then I was contemplating threats, involving the Space Shuttle and, possibly, cats. Mostly, I was really hoping you didn't mean it, so I wouldn't have to say something I'd regret later.
I am rather amazed that you have the prototype already. I expected there would be a wait while you did the designing. It looks beautiful. *Sniffle* I'm touched. I'm looking forward to building it. And for those who wonder, we've long owned our '71 240Z (Zed in Canada, as Dave properly points out, but I am accustomed to calling it a Zee). We bought it in '77, if memory serves. It was silver when we got it, which eventually faded to primer gray. We had it painted gloss black with gold pinstripes, which was gorgeous but impossible to keep clean. When the time came to have it painted again, we chose the "LeMans Sunset" copper color that was the color for the show 350Z and one of the intro colors for the first production 350Z's. Our little nod to the old and the new in Datsun / Nissan Z-Car history. We don't drive it much, but it's roadworthy and everything works on it - even the clock! Thanks to everyone who voted for it (seems like everyone has a Z-Car story), and thanks to evryone who voted in the poll - it was fun watching the tallies day by day. |

Thanks Anne (for the background on the car).
LOL I kinda wish I hadn't revealed it now...just to see what insults you could throw at me! Prototype? Thats the model. I created it right after you suggested it, because I liked the idea so much. ...it didn't matter if it won the Poll or not. I finished building it last week. To be honest, I didn't expect it to be the hot favorite. Usually anything I like, nobody else does. And vice versa...what I hate, everyone else wants. That Lone McQuade RamWolfer thing is testament to that! Funny thing about the 240z, 260z and 280z... I wasn't a big fan at the time. Then I fell in love with the 300z. Then I wished I had owned an older one...I had many opportunities. Now, I wish I had one to restore and enjoy. Lucky you!

As I said earlier, I would have been happy with any of them. Now that I know the back story, I am very glad that it won
