The Lorry project has been set aside...about two weeks ago...another project came into being,
and so, the Autocar Lorry has lost its importance...for now.

Moved off the workbench...and off to the sidelines!

This is not a good thing...for the Autocar... lol...I have difficulty getting back into a project when I take a break.

And for those of you watching the Lorry build, what can I say?...sorry?

But, since it was something of a time filler, it was inevitable that it wouldn't get finished quickly.
My apologies to those who showed interest...I'm sure you won't have to wait long before I resume the work.

But in the meantime...I have to "limber" up for something else.

Well . . . . you know Dave . . . Some of the most admired artists in history are known as much for what they left unfinished, as well as the projects they completed.
So . . . . you are in good company.
Looking forward to what is coming next.
Mike

Jack Stands are part of my Automotive Diorama Accessories kit.

They might look neat in the photos, but they weren't useful during the build.
And it was tedious setting up the chassis on them for the purpose of the photos!

The chassis doesn't have enough weight to sit solidly on the jacks.
They are easily dislodged, toppled.

And they don't always lift the vehicle high enough to be useful (to the builder).
So I don't think I actually used them much during the build.

Instead, I used scrap cardboard and cardstock to create folded supports as I needed them, in the sizes I needed.
Sometimes I just folded up a support, and sometimes I cut slots and recesses in these folded supports to secure parts.
I also used whatever boxes or objects I had had hand to lift and hold the chassis at the right height.

Scale Cubes probably come in handier than any other object...I have many of them nearby!
