A lot of fun watching Dave do his work with this Limber.
It really came together fast, and it couldn't look any better than it does when hitched to the Field Artillery Tractor.

Following this build was like reading a good mystery novel, but knowing the author's style, you know it is going to turn out well! And, yeah, I did check the store to see if it was there yet.

I had planned to create both the Limber and 25pdr
and release them as one "add-on" kit (for the Tractor).
So, you might have some time to wait.

Did you consider putting the door latches on the bumper bars?

Regards,

Charlie

If you are talking about the small attachments on the bumper bars?...
then what about all the hardware on the Limber roof that holds the Gun swivel base?
or the additional details in the Tow Hitch?
or all the Brake actuators on each axle?
LOL

As has been said more than once, my goal is to simplify kits and leave many details up to the builder.
And in this case, there are a slew of small details all over the Limber that have been omitted for sake of build simplification,
and because of scale.
Some things are still very small even at 1/16.
(And some things need to made from bent wire or other materials)

The "latches" appear to be nothing more than U-Bolts, with an extension on the bolt bracket.
Kind of difficult to represent at this scale, but I'll put something together.

So I'm thinking, maybe I could do a simplified top and bottom part,
laminated to about 1mm thickness.
And a small edge wrap part for the visible side.

See what you get...if its scale accurate?...

See how ridiculous its getting?
LOL
No thanks.

What is a paper model? It is illusion of real object. When you are looking at the model and can't understand is it pice of paper or real plane, tank or artillery tractor. When appears feeling of reality. Exactly in this situation appears great model. My congrats you!

Added some teeny weeny little brackets that grab and hold the doors open...
probably too tiny for many (who will choose to leave them off), but hey.

Also added the ID plate to the ammo door.
Too small to read, but it is what it is.

I also added some layering details to the skid/bump plates.
hard to see in these photos.

...
and some glamour shots to wrap things up.

Not sure why the fenders are showing so bright green in the photos.
They don't look this bright in person.
The same fills are used in the artwork, but these were printed at a much later time,
so differences in colour (printing) are inevitable, but I am unsure why they are photographing so different.
