Of course Halinsky has a great early P-51, but even if not accurate would be really cool!!

airdav -

Sounds like a spectacular project! But the differences between an A-model and B/C model are such that I'd leave it alone.

However, if you're looking for something to do...how about a specific pilot's airplane? You may not know this, but I interview WW2 pilots and draw their airplanes...I know a few B/C pilots who'd be amped to have a card model of their crates and I'd be happy to provide a little write-up for you...

Let Gutzmer know - he's my agent (LOL!)

I'm still open to opinons on whether to continue with the C model for this repaint.

Willy...I'm always open to any suggestion for a repaint.
My criteria are are:
give me the suitable model for the repaint
(right now, thats whatever Chris has available to me)

and
is it a marketable model?
(In other words, does Chris want it in his shop
and will it sell enough to make it a worthwhile repaint)

See, I am primarily an Artist...I do Airbrush Art, as well as all kinds of other Illustration and Design work. I love working digitally aswell.
But I do very little artwork just for fun...almost everything I do is a paying job, or a job that has potential to make money.

I don't mind investing the time and effort to repaint my own builds.
But the repaints for Chris's store have to be of interest to many potential buyers.

I would love to do a series of planes...with various specific markings, logos and/or noseart. But it sounds more like single custom order interest.

I would buy a Marek P-51 dazzle repaint, I don't care whether it is an A, B, or C . . . so long as it is a militarized version not a racer or show plane.

I'd be interested in the dazzle paint, as well as a few of the specific aircraft displayed in Wily's blog West by gawd Virginian for example. Mind you that these purchases will be once I have my income back on track again...
