I won't be doing one of the PB4Ys...because...well, just because lol I can't say something I don't have permission to say. I'll try to get Issue Four up to the store as soon as possible. Got a few final tweaks to make... and then I like to do a careful examine of every page, looking for all the little errors or missed items. Anything thats obvious or maybe overlooked. Once I am satisfied that all appears to be as it should, I'll make up the PDFs. Theres always something I miss! lol...but I do my best to avoid it!

"The Squaw" is in Chris' hands (ecardmodels)!
It should be in the store shortly! Watch for it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Issue Three B-24D Minerva update!! Ashrunner has kindly agreed to do a print of Minerva and who knows, maybe even do a build for us? ...but he wasn't completely thrilled with some of the print results. There has been some discussion over possible colour variations and he found another vintage photo of Minerva (that I had not seen). It confirms that there was as least one paint change to Minerva and the tail livery is different. There are other subtle difference, but nothing too drastic. The first pic is the new photo Ashrunner sent me, and the second is the one I already had. What I really do like about this photo is, it shows just how white the upper surfaces were, and the contrast in colours are much more visible. As a result, I have decided to make a few major changes to my Minerva repaint: I want to enlarge and increase the brightness of the faded green to white areas on the upper fuselage and engine cowlings. I also want to remove the bluish tint that appears in my underside gray colouring. There is still some speculation over the actual shade of green on this aircraft (and even speculation as to whether it could in fact be a brown shade?) ...but the green appearance will be greatly affected (visually) by the contrast and tone of the upper and lower colours ...so I will wait until those adjustments have been made before making any changes to the green colouring. I'm also thinking of including an alternate Tail version in the kit! I'll have this update date ready this weekend and if anyone has already picked up this kit from the store rest assured you will get a replacement copy once the adjustments have been made.

As I stated before "The Squaw" went to Chris
and its in the store now. B-24 ISSUE FOUR "THE SQUAW" HERE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now...the Minerva update Issue Three "Minerva" has been updated and is also back in the store. B-24 ISSUE THREE "MINERVA' HERE Chris will be forwarding the info for anyone who has already purchased the kit. I appreciate everyone's patience and understanding with the updates. Its my goal to stay on top of things and try to give you the best kit I can, and that sometimes will mean necessary updates. Heres the skinny: cleaned up some of the colour issues on Minerva with adjustments to the fuselage green (and yes, we have established through sources, that this aircraft was green, white and gray), adjustments to the upper white and gradient sections (for a better print) and removed an apparent "blue" tone that appeared in the neutral gray undersides. There was also a small error with one of the landing gear parts which has been fixed. A big modification is the addition of a second set of tail parts. Another vintage photo showed up, showing an alternate tail marking and colouring, so I decided to add an additional page to the kit that includes two vintage photos of both versions of Minerva and the alternate liveried Tail fins! So you can take you pick and build either version (or both if you like)! The cover pages and sample photos have also been updated (check 'em out at the ecardmodels store)

Just wanted to alert everyone to this....
Dragos pointed out an error I made in the description that goes with "The Squaw", and on the Cover page of the kit: I stated that "The Squaw" participated in the bombing of "Ploesti, Italy" which should have read "Ploesti and Italy". (Ploesti, Romania) "The Squaw" carries bombing victory markings for both "Ploesti" and "Rome" and was involved in bombing missions in both Italy and Romania. I made a typographical error when creating the cover page (and then repeated the error when copying over the description for the Store listing) I apologize for this mistake! I am also guilty of using the commonly mispelled version of "Ploesti" (do a search! lol) ...which should actually be "Ploiesti". I just spoke with Chris....and we are not going to bother with changing the entire file at the moment. This is the updated cover page (the model itself is unaffected by this typographical error.

Just for my own curiousity-I've watched several television shows that pronounce the city either plo-esti or ploy-ehst. I was wondering if one of our eastern european friends could tell me which is correct?(If either).

It's spelled [plo-yesht] because the "s" is actually an "ş" ( spelled sh in romanian )

For all you B-24 fans, this is a great Video!
[the video is old and has washed out contrast, try making it full screen and turning down the lights] "...notice the midget..."
