oh, great, yes I might be able to use some of that!

I actually have some reference pics of a Tow motor, and a small trailer.
Still looking for some engine hoists.

Many of these were nothing more than pipe or beam "knock-together" teepee frames...but I would like to see some more designs.

I find I am lazy...build it once, don't wanna build it again...so after I tweak this truck and get it right, I won't want to build a fresh one right away! lol ...so I may ask for a test build.

reposts - crash 2010

cmdr199212...where do we stand? sorry, can't remember what we had arranged before the crash.
Are you still building some of the accessories for me?

Fuel Truck and Diorama Kit

heres where I am with this stuff:
Fuel Truck is done...was hoping for a test build.
Still got one out there being test built but no word on its progress.

This is my finished version (my prototype)

After that, I worked on a Fuel trailer, using the basic Tanker components from the truck design.
I am quite happy with how this design turned out! and this is now part of the Diorama kit.

Ignore the printed colours in these last two photos...my Ink cartridges are not working properly.
...greens and blues are oversaturating and yellows barely print!
I have new cartridges coming...but for test purposes and prototype builds I am soldiering on!

While working on the Fuel Truck and Fuel Trailer
I have been toying with many other smaller accessories for the Diorama Kit.

You can see in the last two photos of the Fuel Trailer, that I have also created a 55 Gal Fuel drum and little Jerry Cans.

At 1/50 scale some parts are a little tricky to assemble, like the jerry cans
but the overall look is turning out pretty good.

Once again ignore the printed colours (bad ink cartridges)
...I have been attempting to hand colour some parts with art markers.

The Fuel Drums come in 2 colour variations
(slightly different military greens, one with a little rust)
and the Jerry Cans do also.

I have also been working on an Airfield Quonsat Hut:

Just a few more dimensional tweaks, but I think its a nice addition to the Accessories!

The sloppy camo effect is coloured art markers, the actual print file is a photo-realistic effect I created using some actual quonsat hut corrugated paneling. (you can add a colour or patterned camouflage with pencils, markers or any transparent paints if you like)

The idea here is a "Diorama Kit" that I will sell through ecardmodels.

I'm hoping to make up for the fact that this is not "free" model
by including as much as I can in the kit.

So far the Kit includes:

all 1/50 scale
-GMC 6x6 Fuel Truck
-"Camel" Fuel Trailer
-Quonsat Hut
-55 Gal. Fuel Drums (two designs - qty 12)
-Jerry Cans (two design - qty 12)
-Wooden Aircraft Wheel Chocks (qty 4 pairs)
-Bombs (120lb-400lb style) (qty 3+ 4)
-Wooden Racks - wooden beam racking with cutouts for stacking Bombs

I am also working on:

-Propellor Support Trailer
-Flatbed Utility trailer
-Airfield Hut
-Towmotor
-Flags and Pylons
-Chairs

and I am still open to suggestion for more components.

I am also toying with the idea of creating a 1/33 scale version of the kit,
but it will require some modifications to some model parts
and might have to be sold as a separate kit*.
*because the file size of the finished might be too large if it included all pages for both scales?

stretchers and medical equip, yes! I have thought about.

I am keeping those ideas on the back burner though, I didn't want to stray too far off topic.
The original idea was aircraft support rather than airfield support.

the bicycles might be a little too tricky for me at this small a scale.
