I also would like to see a buildup of my new "Wooden Storage Shed"

...not worried about any build threads right now, although photos make it easy to post some tips later on.

Great job! Would you consider designing a 1/50 or 1/33 carrier-deck tractor and towbar for Navy dioramas?

As I stated before, the Diorama Kit is done

I'm just waiting on final tweaks of the Ford Tow Motor.
(Its being test built as we speak)

Most of the models are pretty straightforward and easy to assemble.
But for the more complicated kits, like the vehicles, and just to help all builders
I have added over 3 pages of instructions for various parts of various models.

The Cover page pictured in post#41 gives you the list of all models in the kit.

I have added some Personnel cutouts...a few figures (Mechanics, Pilots, etc) to add to your Dioramas.

The "Wood Shed" (also shown in post #41) has been test built and looks pretty good!
Heres a couple of test shots...sorry about the colour, the model is not quite as orange/pink as in the photos, but more pine coloured.





The Shed looks pretty big doesn't it?...keep in mind it is only about 2" square!
1/50 scale...8 foot by 8 foot Storage Shed .

and...as a fun Bonus, I have added one more model!
I came across an old, vintage paper model the other day
and thought to myself, that will make a great...!?
...ooops, almost told ya.

Final model in the kit is done! The Ford Towmotor.

I need to thank Tapcho for all his help in test building the Towmotor as I tweaked all the parts!
I made him build the thing more than three times! lol poor guy!

Anyway, I did the final test build myself last night,
and I'm gonna go post a build thread for it right now!

I'm even putting together a little contest to celebrate (finally) the completion of this kit!

Its been a while since I have been back to this thread, but I have a little tip to share...

with most of my models, I use 3D graphic and image techniques to create 3D surfaces.

For example with Tires and Wheels, I use lighting and shading to simulate
3D surfaces on mainly flat parts.

But sometimes this requires positioning parts in a proper orientation for best visual effect,
and usually I try to illustrate that in my models.

For example, Wheels and Tires usually have a top (and bottom) that I will indicate somehow
so that the lighting and shading in the artwork is positioned correctly.

Unfortunately in this first Kit, I didn't get all indicators in place
and models like the Fuel Truck don't have those "top" references.
The wheel faces are positioned on the page in the proper orientation
but once you cut them out you have to pay attention to the top lighting and bottom shading.
I guess I am relying on the builder to assemble things correctly.

If Tires and Wheels are positioned incorrectly they don't have
the best visual effect, and sometimes the 3D effect will not work.

A good example of this is Swampfox's recent Diorama build.
(I discussed this privately with him,
and it was Fox's recommendation that I post this publicly.
Kudos to Francis for wanting to share this minor mistake!)

The attached image probably explains it best.

When assembling parts that don't have a 'top" or "bottom" indication,
pay attention to the artwork and simulated lightsources.
...usually light comes from above, and shading appears below.

I would be interested in doing the build for you, I am new to the forum and also to card modeling. What kind of time frame are you expecting for the completion of the two pieces? Its a very nice kit, great job.
