Dear Show car nuts:
Come on you get that off road in the rocky Mountains. and the first major rut you would high center and rip the guts out of it got to get High ground clearance for four wheeling off road. How ever I have not seen much about the prop car maybe like the German military jeep the body can raise.
I stand amazed at the Modeling and design ability of Air dave,
Miles
Spent a youth 4wheeling in New Mexico and Colorado then 20 years as archaeologist through out the west US

Almost positive it is not four wheel drive.
And anyway, I really don't think Batman goes off-roading much. lol

I guess I will have to acknowledge that the occasional koolwheelz model is going to be more complicated.
(just not every model!)

Ok, I am a huge Batman and Superman fan
...so the upcoming Batman v. Superman movie is a big deal for me.

And since there is a totally new Batmobile in the new movies*
(*the car is also featured in the spin off DC Comics film "Suicide Squad")
here is the KoolWheelz version.

Simplified, and stylized, as KoolWheelz models always are.
But this model still has a higher part count and a few small parts.
I just couldn't simplify this car any further!

Model is published...find the download in the Star Carz section of my website.

When searching for reference material about Batmobiles
I came across many pics of the animated Batmobile.
I remember the press releases when this series started
and I saw one or two episodes of Batman The Animated Series when it first began.

To be honest I know very little about the series beyond that.

But the Batmobile design is really cool.
Very retro...and still reminds me of the '89 Keaton Batmobile.

I really like it.
I like it enough, that I am working on a KoolWheelz version.
(now, if i can only keep it simple!)

No...before you ask...
I will not be adding a '66 Batmobile.
(Well, no plans anyway...not a fan...but you never know. lol)

I also will not be adding the "Forever" or "B&R" cars.

Nor the dozen or so comic book designs prior to the 1966 TV series.

But i do want to redo my '89 Batmobile model.
Now that I have some better design skills, I think I could improve on it.
We'll see.

...........................
Just a reminder...for those who somehow know nothing about it...

today is the last planned day of my KoolWheelz Challenge.
You can find all the info over at my forum www.papermodelforum.com

Anyone is welcome to register for free, and take part.

Unless there is an outcry to extend the deadline, we will be wrapping the Challenge up today.

And then the next step will be choosing a favorite.
I had plans to not choose a winner myself, but rather open it up to a public vote.
This is still the plan, and I will be setting up a Poll style voting system.

I will be asking for everyone to drop by, take a look at the entries
and cast a vote (based on the voting guidelines).

You can find the KoolWheelz Challenge in the Contest, Challenges and Fun! section.
Contests, Challenges and Fun!

TheBatman Animated Series is very good, I have a DVD boxed set. It's not kiddie cartoon, it has a good 40's noir feel to it -and Mark Hamell voices the Joker. The Batmobile is a cool version, nicely designed..
