yeah, I agree...I've seen a few bubblecar models already.
Thats why I'm not rushing to do any models.
And like you, my to-do list is just too long.
We'll call it a too-long-to-do list!

One day, I might just do a Reliant Robin.
Such a wonderfully horrible car it is!
And watching Clarkson have fun with one, really made me smile.

Right now... I am bored with Centurion camouflage and Thunderbolts...
and so I am wasting time with some KoolWheelz designs.
Actually working (slowly) on about six of them at once.

Maybe I will have something new in the next couple of weeks.

Don't fall into the Trotter's van trap though. Dellboy's Van was a Regal ... not a Robin.
The Robin was a much later design, which was further developed into the 4 wheeled Kitten. A few Robins were converted to 4 wheels along the way.

The red car in the Clarkson fiasco was a Robin though.

With the current Clarkson issues
I am in Top Gear withdrawal right now...
been catching up on the first few seasons (this week) to get my fix.

Now when I think of a Robin, I picture the Top Gear launch! lol
Or an upside down Jeremy in the river.

While top gear had its good points it has been basically banal for a long time, too much ego and attitude that was always going to end badly. I hope that a more sane top gear will return next year but have found more entertainment in the latest fifth gear episodes and vbh has definitely scaled back the screeching, thankfully.

Wherever Clarkson (and May and Hammond) go, I will follow.
Never banal or boring to me.
I have no interest in a "new" Top Gear without them.

Only mistake here was how the BBC have dealt with this.
Clarkson assaulted someone...in what way, we don't seem to know.
(No photos, no video, no statement from the "victim")
...please don't quote News sources that invent and hypothesize.

Clarkson was the only person to admit anything.
The Police were not called...the Police have done nothing up to this point.
This was a matter to be resolved by the parties involved (and the Police if need be)
and then the BBC should have taken the necessary action based on the outcome.

We have a similar case here in Canada just recently, with a well known Radio and TV celeb
who was fired for allegedly getting rough with women (on dates).
(Not sure how his personal sex life has anything to do with his on-air interviews?)

He has now been charged and in the midst of a trial,
but the Network he worked for vilified him long before the Police ever got involved.
I don't personally like the guy...and I believed many of the reports.
But I always thought it was wrong to string this guy up before he had even been charged
(let alone found guilty of anything).

The BBC has always done many things wrong
...the current Clarkson actions come too soon after the Yewtree investigations.
Thats probably why Jeremy got a quick lynching.
The BBC has known for twenty years what Clarkson is like.
Thats why he was on TV!

Anyway...I apologize for sidetracking this thread.
I will be adding some Top Gear models to my KoolWheelz to-do list
in memory of the awesome Jeremy Clarkson!
May he go on to bigger and better things.

One more thought... I have been hearing about the many possible opportunities open to Clarkson now.
All the various countries and networks that may offer him a ton of money
to produce another Top Gear style show.

And I thought the coolest thing he could do, is offer a job to the Top gear producer (he allegedly attacked).
LOL steal him away from the BBC.
Because this guy's career is in the tubes now,
and it would totally make amends by giving him a job with triple the salary!
Now that would show the BBC!

So, last week I got a request for something "NASA related".
A KoolWheelz model for someone who works for NASA/JPL.

At first I couldn't think of anything.
I do already have some KoolWheelz models with a "space" connection.

Anyway, I've had this model on my KoolWheelz list ever since Ken West started his big Lunar Rover kit.
But I decided to have some fun with it...and hot rod it up a bit!

So, from the National Aeronautics and Stockcar Association, I present:

NASA Lunar Rover is available in the Racerz and Specialz section of the KoolWheelz models.
Be warned...its not an Easy model.
With at least 50 parts...many of them quite small...its a more difficult build.

That is just too much fun. Did they have any spare rovers when they cancelled Apollo?
