Not really.
Quote:
... I would say, from Aaron's quote, that I should go with battered and bruised since that the way the Skywalker's received it. Makes sense to me. And so I shall.

Read the last sentence. I was still editing while you were reading.

I think Aaron is correct, too

Yeah, I did see your last sentence.
Thanks Based on the vehicles I have modeled so far (as KoolWheelz) I don't think thats a big concern for me. Battered or not, if Disney wants to complain, they will.

I've changed my mind again!
LOL I seem to do that alot. I appreciate all the suggestions and input...no matter how disagreeable. LOL Honestly...it all helps in the end. I've decided I DON'T like the dirty look. I was going through the photos of the cleanup, rebuild and restoration of the original Landspeeder. Its amazing just how "dirty" they made this thing for the film. You can barely see the bright paint job colours under all the damage and dirt. And then theres the engine pods (and a few other areas) that were made to look replaced. All gray and dirty colours...no paint. etc Its just too much for such a small model. Too much work for me right now. And just too muddy and dirty looking at this scale. My Landspeeder will be a run of the mill X-34... not Luke's particular one, just a new or slightly used X-34. This is a KoolWheelz model...so its simplified a lot. No actual cockpit for example. Just some artwork. But I have to add some sort of windshield, and that is proving to be tricky. The original windshield is cut from a dome/bubble. To do this in paper and get the same shape will require multiple parts with many ugly seams. I am simplifying the shape down to two parts. Not perfect, but KoolWheelz simple. I think its best to fit a clear plastic windshield. Find a little bubble and cut out a part yourself. But obviously I have to design something in paper, to include with the model, so I'll include something basic.

For a first run, that looks really good

Yeah, I have to squash it down a bit.
The dimensions are correct, but because I am eliminating the radius edges (for paper model simplification) and giving it flattened sides, it makes the hull look a bit too thick. So, I will ignore actual dimensions...make the Hull less thick (top to bottom), and it should look more visually proportioned.

Comparing pics of "real" one and yours, it is a sound decision

Super Dave, I can't wait to see what comes out of that imagination of yours. The way only you can make something that already was cool and make even more cool. Thank you Dave for the change of mind. wc
