Just to nitpick and clarify for legal reasons
....I don't "Hot Wheelsify" anything.
My designs are not wholely inspired by or connected to Mattel Hot Wheels in any way.

Lets call it KoolWheelzifying.
Or airdavifying?

I have never seen this series, or have any knowledge of the series.
(Other than from your comments and posts Don.)

I guess I need to go look for it, as I love old radio and TV serials.
But I'm no expert on them...and they are a more recent interest for me.
Not something I grew up on, or was influenced by (up to now).

So, no...not on my consideration list. ...yet.

Sorry, Dave. I was typing faster than I was thinking. I meant to type "KoolWheelsifying." I fully understand your intent and the legal issues and simply made a typing error, conflating "Hot" and "Kool" in my increasingly creaky mind.

I also understand the parameters of your selection process and why the Juggernaut (not to mention Crash Corrigan, Ace Drummond, Don Winslow, and Hopalong Cassidy) is not on your list. I just can't help occasionally bringing up influences from my own, considerably more ancient, experience.

Don

PS: Thanks for the Undersea Kingdom video links, which you posted while I was laboriously pecking out this post.

Would your interests be whetted with old beer trucks?

We discussed the film and the vehicle in this thread: The JUGGERNAUT (from Undersea Kingdom (1936))

Chris Walas made the unforgettable entry: "And who could forget in Undersea Kingdom when Crash Corrigan was ruthlessly strapped to the front of the juggernaut and faced certain and gruesome annihilation when the Juggernaut was about to ram the gates of the fortress?!?

Hows this for starters?

Well, I've watched two episodes...about to watch the third.
Much along the lines of Flash Gordon.
The Juggernaut is quite interesting...and unique.

Can't quite figure out how four of those Ashcan Robots can even get into it?! lol

And, in the first episode...I'm already perplexed.
They've just arrived in Atlantis, been chased by various Soldiers on Horseback and in Chariots.
Then the Juggernaut appears with Robots.
A short time later Crash splits from the rest of his group and decides to follow the Robots
and he says "I'll follow the Juggernaut to see where it goes."
How'd he know its name?

It might be fun to do a model...I'll see how I like the rest of the series.

Quick U-turn back to Forbidden Planet (the Original Star Trek). What about the two vehicles from that film for Koolwheelzifying ?- Robbie's car and the tractor with the mag crane.

Vermin...I'd love to get a better look at one of those Electric Wagons.

...
Gotham
I've thought about the Ground Conveyor.
It doesn't really have a hug part in the film.
And Robbie's Car is kind of pointless without Robby
and the Robot has proven to be a difficult design.
I think only Uhu has tackled a realistic Robby model and its very complicated to build.
I don't see how it can be done in mini-miniature.
And I don't think I want the Conveyor without the Controller.

The Tractor is quite forgettable in my opinion.
I had to remind myself of what it looked like and I've seen that film many times.
It may be part of a great film, but its not something that had a huge impact.
Not a vehicle that I even remembered.

Feels funny turning down anything to do with Forbidden Planet
but its not something I am going to consider right now.

well for the grille I used an image of a 1940's chevy truck. I'm probably not too far off from what they did.

Here is also the texture file I'm using.
