Re Robbie's Car - I was not envisioning a complete, separate little Robbie, more Robbie being in his driving position, therefore only top half. Just an idea.
Forbidden Planet is a big favourite with me, bu yes the vehicles are few and forgettable.

Its the top half that is part of the problem!!
LOL Probably worse than the bottom half!

yeah...I am still trying to figure out a method for that grille. At KoolWheelz scale, I would have to come up with something that looks like the actual thing but isn't ridiculously difficult to build. The undercarriage is a big unknown, isn't it? I doubt the real thing had any sort of floor pan... probably a body hanging over a car frame. Seems to be awful short wheelbase too. I wonder where Deeks got his reference? Wonder if he had more than just the movie to work from? His solid floor pan is interesting too. I like my usual KoolWheelz approach of a separate chassis with wheels.

Well its too early for a Beetle (USA 1936)...
Kubelwagens weren't produced until '39 Beetles not until 1941. And the Driver sits way up front left... so, I'd say its a one off scratch built, maybe built on an existing car or truck frame. A small Bus springs to mind because of the driver position. Oh I agree...one can only imagine and fantasize about how the "real" Juggernaut would be constructed. An armoured underside makes sense. Although I still would have built it tall enough to accomodate those Robots! lol And given it some ground clearance, since it appears as though all of Atlantis is rough terrain and mountain countryside. This is what has sparked my interest in this vehicle (and why I might do a KoolWheelz version) because I am now interested in the vehicle underneath and how the Juggernaut was constructed!

If by Deeks you mean Herb Deeks, I think Scott Brodean is who did the actual mastering since he did several of the ones that Herb marketed. He's the one that also does the large scale Disney Nautilus models. He's a prop maker and collector. Haven't seen him in years. I usually run into Herb when I go to Orange County for a car or model show. Don't know if he's still active in the Orange County IPMS.
