Yeah, I've seen that
I also found a few other not so accurate models.
Best one I found, is a (life size?) mockup of the Juggernaut and Robots
made mostly from cardboard and wood.

...
On the topic of next group Build,
I have the updated Tumbler ready for test build.
It will be used for an upcoming Group Build.
And once its cleared, I'll make it available.

Forgot to mention the irony, or optimism, in calling the vehicle Juggernaut - seeing how un -juggernautish it is.

Next Group Build...

this discussion has been back and forth (over in the Bluebire Proteus thread)
as to what model we should do next.

Originally we were going to build the Lunar Rover...which I vetoed, sort of.
I think we should come back to that one...maybe after another more basic model.

And in that regard, I have a new Bat Tumbler ready to go.

I have been wanting to update the Tumbler for some time.
It is a bit small in scale compared to the other Batmobiles,
so I wanted to enlarge it slightly.
I also wanted to tweak some of the artwork.

And, although I did produce an Assembly Diagram Sheet for the Tumbler,
I did not add the usual assembly notes and instructions on the model sheet.
I didn't even add notes to the Assembly Diagram Sheet!

So, I decided to update everything and add some build notes.

And now I have a new model ready to go...and it needs a test build.
So I figured why not get it out the way right now?!
Lets do the Tumbler as the next build.

I know not everyone is a Batman, or Comic Book fan...
but from a learning point of view, this is a good model.
Its an "easy" model...with a tricky body shape.
Lots of fold, angles, tabs, etc.
A little bit of a challenge to put the body together.

Its also got four wheels...but two different sizes...
and two different wheel/cylinder assembly methods.
Double the learning experience!

So...throw out your KoolWheelz Bat Tumbler model, if you already have it.
I'll have a new Tumbler ready for download later today.
Just check the KoolWheelz Collection at www.cutandfold.info (Dave's Card Creations)

And I'll get started on printing the model and preparing the first lesson.

I'll do my best to start the Build Thread tomorrow.

I will be asking for a report on how the sheet prints for you,
so try to take a good photo and give me a critique on colour, detail, etc.

I printed out my own sheet this afternoon, and it looked good to me.
Until I clearcoated it.
Not sure if maybe I laid the sealer on a bit too heavy, because I really lost a lot of the detail in the artwork.

So, I will be interested in reading everyone's report on this.

airdave,

One of the reasons I haven't been clear coating the Sheet before Building is the fear of over spraying so that the Ink runs! Are there any Tips to prevent that from happening?

No problems with the sealer.
On first picture, left sealed, right unsealed.
On second, details on sealed and nonsealed.

Printed out, sprayed with Krylon, no diminution of detail.

Lil says that she learned a lot from the first two builds, but is now going back to making cats.

I'm still in and ready to begin.
