Since the BSG Viper is the same scale (sort of)as the TS:TOS Galileo why not make the BSG Cylon Raider the same scale as the Eagle Transporter?
Just my 2 cents worth

LOL I was hoping for something like "what the heck are you talking 'bout Dave?" I was deliberately being vague with my 6 degrees of separation connection.

Back before the Dinosaurs and CGI, the masters of special effects built hand made models and miniatures for use in movies and tv shows. Especially space craft for shows like Battlestar Galactica. And we know that many special effects model makers used parts from store bought plastic kits in their creations. The term "greeblies" refers to all those little add-on surface details that make spacecraft look more complicated and realistic. If you look very closely, you can sometimes spot Car parts and other recognizable objects on the surfaces of interstellar spacecraft. While working on my Cylon Raider paper model, I am using photos of the Monogram plastic model as visual reference for surface details. I owned this plastic model when it was first released, and it appears to be a fairly accurate model of the TV prop. There was only one Cylon Hero Raider miniature produced and used in filming, and its hard to see all the details in photos. I can only assume Monogram modellers recreated the model as accurately as possible, but who knows what greeblies may have been introduced. While working on the details of my paper model, I started to notice something that looked very familiar to me. Having designed and built my own Centurion Tank model, I've become quite familiar with every aspect of the Centurion and on closer inspection...sure enough...on the top of the Cylon Raider Cabin structure... is the entire rear Deck and Engine Covers of a Centurion Tank! Even the surrounding frame and Turret bumpers are present. The deck has been reversed, back to front, and part of the rear venting (now the forward area) has been cut off. The front engine covers and rear radiator covers are very visible, as are the bank of hinges between them. There are other details added above the Centurion parts, including what looks like a driveshaft and differential probably cut from an old truck model chassis. Lets not forget the name for the Cylon soldiers is "Centurion". I just thought the connections were too strong to ignore. I have modeled both the Centurion Tank and Cylon Raider...Monogram used Centurion Tank parts in its Cylon Raider...Cylons are called Centurions.
