Now this is now when Dave will do a real face plant: I have a museum friend who saw a face book post I did of a paper model. He has CAD drawings of some structures from early Niagara falls that he would like models of. I shall give him your Cut and fold site info for him to deal directly with you.

I forget. Was the Ghostbusters vehicle originally a hearse or an ambulance?

I mention that because I think I will do AirDave's ambulance collection this weekend. Four if the Ghostbusters car isn't one, but five if it is. Six, if my whining gets me the Wambulance

According to Wikipedia

Quote:
The Ectomobile, or Ecto-1 is a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Futura Duplex limo-style endloader combination car (ambulance conversion) used in the 1984 film Ghostbusters and other Ghostbusters fiction

And I found at the Ghostbusters Wiki
Quote:
There had been 3 Miller-Meteor Ambulances to portray the 2 vehicles, the pre-Ecto-1 which was never transformed, Ecto-1 which was originally a gold ambulance and Ecto-1a

So, five, then

I think your numbers are off as to how many original Miller-Meteors were bought and used in the original film,
but thats a whole other conversation.

Miller-Meteor is(was) a coach builder...who modified Cadis (and other models like Suburbans) for GM to be Hearses and Ambulances.

As far as I know their cars were produced only for those markets...
ordered privately, and not sold to the general public.

One could argue that they are built from unfinished/unsold Cadillac chassis',
and then modified and delivered as custom built Ambulances OR Hearses, so thats what they started life as.
They are closer to Ambulances than the modified Vans we use today,
since those are produced and sold as Transport/Cargo Vans first,
and then aftermarket modified into Ambulances.

Speaking of ambulances: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambula...ance,_1949.jpg

Virusbuster bum wipe dispenser

Hi guys, I have turned the Virusbuster into practical use for toilet paper, or bum wipes, as Dave puts it. The 2mm cardboard should be able to put the Virusbuster to extensive use. The surface is tape masked and should last for a season, at least.

LOL WOW!!! Thats a truly inspired idea.
Looks like I am going to have to send out two Awards.

I'd ask if we could see it in use...but then again, maybe not.
Keep that to yourself!

I guess you don't have "bum wipes" in Hong Kong?
Bum Wipes is what you use to clean a baby's bum...not toilet paper.
Thats what I meant.
But who cares...you wipe your bum with toilet paper too, don't you?!

Its also surprising to see you build something so large...LOL.
