I am just finally catching up with this thread. My taste in 1/60th cars has always leaned towards 'real' car subjects - racing cars, exotic cars and hot rods. If / when you get into something more along my 'style' I'll probably delve into making a few of these. Will be following to see where you take it

Actually the Batmobile turned out pretty darn good for being so simplified.

Its a little bigger than I had planned, but I didn't want to make it too small
because of two smaller parts that have to be assembled (the Intake Hood, and the Windshield Canopy).

(But then again, all my "HOT" Wheels models have ended up a little larger than I originally planned...at least I am trying to keep them fairly consistent.)

I wonder what it would look like on photo paper?

Model is available HERE

Well lets see...
The Batmobile, Deora and Scooby Doo Van are all REAL.
Snot Rod and Fillmore, both based on REAL world vehicles.
Sizzlers? REAL, even if they are just Toys.
Only "FAKE" thing so far, is the cartoon based "Shaggy Van".

So theres no excuse!!

lol
I understand...maybe Snot Rod will be more to your liking.
And who know what else I will decide to build.
Its all a personal project...vehicles that have interested me over the years.
Keep watchin'!

lol I have no idea what you are talking about?!
are you using that CA glue again?

are you suggesting a card model of a "wheel rim"?
full size for your Suzuki?
because you can't afford real alloy wheels?

...card stock might hold up, but they will definately need some formers!
How much does your Suzuki weigh?

lol
if you are suggesting miniature wheels, thats not something I am interested in doing.
In fact, it has already been done in a toy version, but it didn't go over very well. These small scale wheel reproductions came in singles and packs of 4, but nobody bought them! lol

I have thought a couple of times about adding parts for 3D wheels
and I might still do that.

but that also goes against what I originally intended to do...
the idea was "simple" fold and glue cars that can be assembled in one sitting.
The point was to rely more on the artwork/graphics (which is what I do!)

There are more complicated models out there, sorry, mine are gonna stay as simple as necessary.
And any builder with a little experience could add some wheel depth?
