A model of Christmas would be huge.
All encompassing.
I have no idea where to start with that suggestion.

Oh look... waffles for breakfast!

Christine, not Christmas. The Plymouth...

I saw a trailer, at a Drive-In theater, back in 1976.
It didn't tell you anything about the movie, not even the name...just a few scenes of some Space-fightercraft dogfighting.
It was unlike anything we had seen before in a "space" movie.
I was blown away by the special effects.

So when Star Wars debuted in 1977, I was first in line to see it.

It was okay.
I wasn't "over the moon" about it, but I enjoyed it.
The second film, was okay too, but I seemed to be losing interest.
The third one I can't even remember.
(I've seen them all multiple times, and I still can't remember anything about the third one.
Is that the one with the snow stuff?)

...I hate the teddy bears.

This was a three movie serial...right from the beginning.
Paying homage to the action serials of the 30s and 40s.
But after the third film, George Lucas announced to the world that he had a vision of a nine part saga.
And that these three films were the middle of that story.
His stories seem to change in every interview. lol
I remember there was no actual commitment to making more films.

Then, years later, Lucas films three more Star Wars "episodes"...the prequels, if you like.
And then announces to the world that his vision was always a six-part saga and his work is complete. lol
More backpeddling.

...at least we didn't get teddy bears again.
Did you know that Michael Jackson was supposed to play Jar Jar Binks?
Things might have gone from terribly bad, to worser bad!

Putting aside all the laughable stuff...there are some excellent special effects
and the movie comes from a time before CGI.
That part I like.
And its really interesting to do a little bit of research and see how vehicles like the Landspeeder were designed,
constructed and actually driven in the film.

I know there is already a good papermodel of a Landspeeder available.
But the Landspeeder is a very unique and interesting vehicle.
And that makes it a kool kandidate.

My KoolWheelz version is small and overly simplified, so don't expect scale or technical accuracy.
I also decided not to recreate the battered and worn Landspeeder that appears in the film.
Mine is more of a gently used model, available for purchase at the Used Landspeeder lot.

Straight forward build...the model page includes some directions.
Its available now, in the StarCarz section.

Super Dave I think you just made my day and/or week. She is beautiful. Very clean and the colors look so true. I guess I will have to watch that Star Wars movie again. Very nice job Dave. Thank you very much. My Sister in Law to be will really like this one. wc

I was just thinking...I should have used the base parts as a template
and cut the parts out of clear plastic.
Then it would have been a more invisible stand under the car.

if anyone builds it, try that...and post some photos.

...
and, if anyone can design a better paper windscreen,
I will swap it into my model sheet (and give you credit of course).

Remember its got to be something that isn't complicated or difficult for beginners to assemble.

Yes, but It isn't exactly Koolwheelz style. I've done that one myself. Mine looks good across the room, sitting on a shelf, but not in your hand

I saw that film many decades ago.
I don't remember enjoying it much.
But then again, it was decades ago.

Not sure I am a fan of possessed "things".
Possessed people I understand...but not how an inanimate thing can do stuff.

And...I've driven a few Chryslers from the late 50s and early 60s
I don't like them.
So I guess the car never did anything for me either.

Obviously I am shooting holes in this request.
Sorry, but I don't want to promise something that probably ain't gonna happen.
Never say never...but don't hold your breath either.

Never mind the 'Possession' bit Dave, you gotta admit it's one of the prettiest cars from the Fins'n'Chrome era.

Personally I think it's better looking than the '59 Caddy, but for me the late '40s Hudsons top the bill every time. Pretty good drivers too ... Doc Hudson rules, OK.
