Mattel Hot Wheels Super Van Ambulance

I know I keep trying to remind everyone that my Koolwheelz collection has no direct connection to Mattel Hot Wheels,
but I still have a fondness, and an interest, and a personal history with Hot Wheels toys
and thats why there are some Hot Wheels tributes in the Koolwheelz collection.

I'd like to add more...and thats partly why I have added this Ambulance model.

I've always liked the "van" models that Hot Wheels has produced,
and I came across this particular Van as part of another project I was working on.

Turns out this is actually a very unique Hot Wheels model.
This "Ambulance" is based on a very common mid 1970s casting...the "Super Van".
Kind of a mid 1970s Dodge Tradesman Van.

But it has been painted and released in many different versions over the years
...and this particular version was not a common mainline release.
It was only ever available for one year...in one type of packaging...and only as part of a four vehicle set: the 2010 Race World City Series.

The series featured the "5 Alarm" Fire Engine, "Propper Chopper" Airlift Ambulance, "Armored Truck" Paramedic Rescue and the "Super Van" Ambulance.

I thought that made it unique enough to be a good choice for my next Hot Wheels tribute paper model.
As I said, I am hoping to add a few more Mattel Hot Wheels to my collection...but this is a good candidate.

You'll find the Hot Wheels Ambulance in the Specialz-Toyz section of the Koolwheelz models (at my website).
I put an Assembly diagram on the model sheet...but you're not gonna need it!
Its a super easy build, I think.

Dave Once again you have out done yourself, I also was expecting the A-Team Van but this one looks great and it is level 1, si I think I have the ink to print it so I guess this will be the fourth model and first Kool Wheelz I will have built. Thanks again Gregg
