Dave, currently watching reruns of 'Ashes to Ashes'. Yup, there's James Bond, but there's also Gene Hunt. "Fire up the Quattro !". Any chance in the future as a Koolwheelz, maybe ?

uattro was the race car)
Quote:
Well I already released the 1985 GT Coupe (above) which is the car I owned and which is street GT version of the Audi 80 copying the race car styling of the four wheel drive Audi 80 (Quattro). There wasn't a street/public version of the Quattro GT Coupe until 1987 (for the North American market). I thought about creating a Quattro from my model, but it would mainly be additional artwork to simulate those fender bulges. I can't do anything to the model to give it 4 wheel drive, except add the Quattro name. But then theres the question of what colour? who's version? I never saw a TV show that had a Quattro play an important part, so I have no connection to it in that way. And I never owned a Quattro...I owned a GT Coupe. I think if I was to do a Quattro model, it would be a race version...the S1 Group B car but there are already various models of that car, so.... having said all that, I am now interested in this Ashes to Ashes show?! I saw Life on Mars when it appeared...the US version...meh... but it intrigued me enough to seek out the original UK version, which was so much better. The ending of the US version was a huge let down! I knew nothing about this sequel of sorts, Ashes to Ashes...I must seek it out!!! And who knows, maybe a Quattro is in the future?!

Ashes ran for 3 series and ended explaining this 'parallel ' world. It featured a red Quattro always being driven at high speed by Gene Hunt, oh and Keeley Hawes plays DCI Drake who ends up in this 'parallel ' world - now in the 80s instead of the 70s. Def give it a try, Dave.
Oh, and did I mention Keeley Hawes ?

Dave would you someday do a Guards Red 1987 924s, (Last of the series, (2200 built)). I own one and would love to see a model of it on my shelf. I'm not a car model designer guy but would love to build one. I know it would not be a pop related model but it's a Hot subject to look at!
Thanks! |

The 24' and 44's had the same platform under the hood. Audi built the 24's complete in their factory with a VW power plant. The later model 44's had only the body built by Audi, then shipped to Porsche for drive train, (early 44's are all Audi too). The last 2200 24's had the same drive train as the later model 44's and also had Porsche install it at their factory. Mine is one of those. It has 62,000 original miles and a garage queen. I live in Tampa and only a fool would drive it daily with all these brain damaged snow birds on the road here LOL.
I would love a model of it but.... Have a great day! |

This is perfect.
Love the '70's cheesy B movie vibe. I do need to get out more, but I would still watch it
