Potential Heinkel model? It would certainly fit in with your other great models of steam and steel warships.

Jim - I enjoyed rereading this thread and am glad you are back with us again.

A quick search did not come up with any detailed plans.
Most are like this
Cruiser Photo Index C-6/CL-15/CA-15/IX-40 USS OLYMPIA - Navsource - Photographic History of the U.S. Navy
and this
USS Olympia: Symbol of a Sea Change | HistoryNet

This place has some plans for sale at $19.95 USD
https://www.building-model-boats.com...pia-plans.html
Zip files in either 1:96 or 1:44 scale.

A note on the site:
Quote:
The Scanned General Arrangement Plan is from 1893, so predates the ship's first commission.

Regarding plans for U.S.S. Olympia: Try the Maryland Silver Company.
This link should take you to the site. Then scroll down a bit to find Olympia.
Ship plans copied from the National Archives

You might also try the U.S. Navel Institute and the US Navel Academy Museum.
