I hope the Heinkel Olympia does come to fruition.

Meanwhile, it's great to hear from you, Jim! I hope you have some models - 1/600 or otherwise - underway.

This link should take you to the site. Then scroll down a bit to find Olympia.
Ship plans copied from the National Archives

This link/site seems to have changed. The ship plans are no longer available here. Perhaps they sold the website or changed their line of business. They had a good inventory of plans for sale. Many of them were late 19th and early 20th century U.S. Navy vessels.

USS Olympia C 6 | Ship Plans | Union Iron Works, San Francisco

USS Olympia C 6 rang a bell.

This is a .pdf copy of the Union Iron Works contract drawings;

https://maritime.org/doc/plans/c6.pdf

The above is on a list from the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association;

Sectionals may be a stretch.

Reminds me, has anyone heard from Golden Bear lately? I owe him a tutorial on making ship rails...,

Best regards,

-Gil

Best regards,

I attempted to contact Carl via email three months ago. A modeler wanted to purchase one of his ships. I did not get a response, so the email address I have may no longer be valid.
