Think that holds for most movies, doesn't it? But the trailer was pretty good, at least it was my impression.

Prometheus

The reviews here in Sweden was that it lacked direction and consistency, and that some of the actors could have performed better.

Still, I am interested to see it for myself.

All the best,
Bengt

And we should try to avoid reading too much negative reviews before having seen it by ourselves, so - please don't spoil too much

I was of that opinion to start with as I was expecting something somewhat different, especially as I deliberately avoided reading anything about it before the release.

However, having seen it, the more I thought about and more I dissected it reading about it in message boards, the more I warmed to it. It's a good film, it's got its flaws and some unnecessary filler scenes (and without giving anything away, the stupidest death in cinematic history ) but it is refreshingly different to Alien but still set in the same universe of sorts.

Not as good as it could have been but worth watching IMHO.

500th post - yaaay!

This is as far as I got with it, horrible, horrible, thing...

Abandoned it, spent weeks pulling and pushing bits and was still not happy with the main 'hull', so if you want the 3d model to play with let me know, it's not finished but is designed with paper modeling in mind.

Oh wow, this is just great!
Is this based on the Alien or Prometheus version?

If you are interested in a cooperative work, I would be proud to do some texturing work! I totally lack the skills for 3D-modeling, but can work in GIMP.

Thanks for your input!

Well you're probably correct, but I'd really need someone to do the remaining 3D-work (perhaps changes, plus unfolding)... texturing and finishing would be feasible for me. codex34 kindly gave the model to me for this purpose. Anyone interested?

I have a commissioned design in progress and another personal one pending, so this one would not be from the fast sort. But could be fun!

Alien Derelict Spaceship Model Project

Good news, Thorsten!

Let us hope someone is willing to help you out here! This is a sci-fi model I really would like to build. Excellent preparatory 3-D work, codex34!

Best ,
Bengt
