Wither the Turtle?

Does anyone know if a paper model of the Revolutionary war submarine, the Turtle, has been made?

Thanks in advance!

I do recall a commercial model of the Turtle. Don't remember who designed it however. If I do remember, I'll post, but I am sure someone else here has a better memory and will provide the answer.

Thanks

I think it would be a gas to build one as a cut-a-way!

I was always a sucker for seeing inside things...

Unless I'm about to eat them!

I recall one made of the predecessor to the Hunley, the David being available. It is free to download if you're interested:

I’ll keep searching for my “revolutionary” Turtle!

Can't find the link yet, but someone made a simple cutaway version of the Turtle a year or two ago. Not very detailed, as I recall. I'll try and find it.

I've had a design in progress for over 2 years. Just haven't moved further on it.
Took a while to be happy with the shape, but finally got there.
I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Shwueet!

Thanks! Looking forward to it.

Making with paper is probably better than converting the Prohibition barrel I have out front!

Cheers,

The one shown there does not seem that good. It is flat and expensive for $12. I saw turtle on television show reconstruction and it was round

The actual, built shape is not known. There are old drawings and such, but frequently they do not reflect the final build.

I believe it should be more acorn or rounded almond shape.
Like I said, I post pic tomorrow.

I too, think $12 is a little expensive, but on the other hand, it's the only one (right now).
