Hiawatha Streamlined Steam Engines

Hi folks!
I'm a big fan of streamlined steam engines, particularly those of the Milwaukee Road. The Hiawathas (4-4-2s, 4-6-2s, and 4-6-4s) are not only cool designs, but were beautiful as well. Does anyone know of anybody working on these?

I've been working on a small scale CB&Q Aeolus 4-6-4 for quite some time, but progress has been slow. At the same time, I've been working on a CB&Q Twin City Zephyr train set.

I have both the free N&W J class 4-8-4 and the Schreiber engine. I'm hoping this catches someone's attention!

Thanks!

The Wiki articles on the Hiawatha and Chippewa have links to other resources on the locomotives.

Info on the F-3 Pacifics (4-6-2) locomotives: The Chippewa-Hiawatha

Wiki on the F-7 Hudsons/Baltics (4-6-4): Milwaukee Road class F7 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

YouTube of Hiawatha powered by the 4-4-2 locomotive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cph7KwNMon8

I am no expert on the Milwaukee Road, but always liked the Hiawatha and Chippewa streamlined trains and their locomotives. I am sure that Bob Pomroy has lots more (and more accurate) info, but this provides some basic info and images.

I am very interested in doing a Loco model.
The American streamliners are so wonderful.

But ...this...just sayin'...

Will throw my dollars at any streamliner done. Not saying I'll ever get around to building it, just buying it.

Dave - Speaking of streamliners, ever seen the 1947 White Labatt truck? May be a bit too curvy for KoolWheels though.

Bob - Sorry, not trying to hijack this tread but thought it was worth mentioning.

Bob

Progress is fine, but it's gone on for too long.: 1947 Labatt Streamliner

Streamliners might be interesting. I've been staying away from railroad stuff because of all the fiddly bits. Streamliners hide the fiddly bits.

I was inside the Labatts Truck years ago.
I have that exact postcard (somewhere) ...it was given out at appearances.

Also took some photos, but do you think I can find them now?

I remember it was surprisingly small (for a tractor trailer).

Photos to come...

I design my models in Microsoft Visio, because it makes it easy to create reproducible elements, and because it's a tool I use often and know well. Unfortunately, I had to replace my computer, and my version of Visio isn't compatible with Windows 7. When I get an updated version of Visio, I'll be able to design again.

Interesting use of Visio!

I used to use it for railway schematics! Still use it for work.
