Quite like the sound of a big federal myself.

Romanmodels - Like the idea of the Scammel transporter - nice big lump

As my search continues I found this site with some great images. Guy is a talented artist I think.

Quick quiz - Anyone recognise this vehicle - not US or GB but clearly not an off-roader

[Just a random vehicle for fun - no prizes on offer. :P ]

I was sure I had a paper one somewhere in my 'To do' archive, but I can't find it. I guess it musta just been memories of the Airfix kits I had as a youth. I had all of those you show in the last post. (Airfix not WAK) I'm sure there was a Moggie Quad available too though. My rather dodgy memory says it came with a field gun and limber.

Yep! (Google to the rescue) There it is, but the earlier ones were even uglier.

Sorry for raking up old coals, but I found a paper Quad ... Knew I'd seen one somewhere.

Great little model, Johnny.

What scale is it? Is it still available? If so, from where?

It was published in the Czech ABC Magazine 2008-23-24 According to the instructions it appears to be 1:50 scale. I can't put a finger on a legal supplier for ABC prints now, only a Russian pirate site.

I've snaffled that quick before Rick chops the link. It seems pirate site is considered a pirate now.

The ABC models are really great and have a style all of their own!

I have a few from a friend - he used to buy them, copy and build them and pass the mags on. Made a few and stored the others for a rainy day!

Been a long time since i was able to pick up a knife or visit the site, but I made a discovery this week that I'm sure some of you guys will like.
This designer has made more than 50 great models which are free downloads & discussed in the thread here (He also has some models for sale) - robototehnikpaper
What caught my eye were some nice British WW2 vehicles
There are zip downloads on the right hand side
Bedford QLT +tanker trailer

Bren carrier & trailer

AEC Deacon

If you click on the < or > which appear when you hover the mouse on the pic it will cycle through all his models with download links at the top of the comments panel on the right.

I especially liked the ZiS Fire trucks & the Famo.
I'm guessing many will know this designer but for those that don't... Enjoy!
