I have the original plan from PM however I must warn anyone who uses it to build from that it is not a true scale model plan of the SS United States. It is compressed in length for some reason.

More accurate paper models can be obtained from GPM kartonmodel

jsc have a reasonable paper model of united states,there is also the rigsby version and whm have one also bit thats not cheap

Hi. I was just searching for this Popular Mechanics plans because Model Kartonowi made a model of the United States 1/400 scale, but is waterline only, so I'm planing to join the waterline model, the Popular Mechanics drawings and resize both to a 1/700 scale paper model.

You are right, I haven't found it. But, there are two good news:
1) I HAVE the original paper printed magazines... somewhere.
2) I found this info that can solve the problem
