War of the worlds Tripod

Hello friends,

I have had an enquiry from a fellow (plastic) modeler about the availabity of the Martian Tripods from Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. So, are there any of these available in paper anywhere? These would certainly make some interesting dioramas based on the artwork from the album sleeve, I am already thinking of the escape of the Thunderchild.

Many thanks in advance and happy (paper) modelling.

Bernie

I'm glad that the Cut and Paste Sci Fi models are still available. His Gort was the figure I based my cyberman on

I love the machine designs created for "Jeff Waynes Musical Version of the War of the Worlds" and am so happy this model is available!
The illustrations, story adaptation, naration, and music are wonderful. Though it must be the original late 70's/early 80's version, not his updated version which is only OK-a pale rehash.

I did one last year. (here's the thread.) Although I didn't use the Jeff Wayne ones, because the H.G. Wells story describes the leg of the tripods as bendy, very agile and nimble. And according to the pictures, the legs of Jeff Wayne's version never could be that. However, I agree on their iconic status. And I also love the album. (The original one, that is. Not the recent remake. Yuk.)
Hope you succeed! And please show the build!
