The Machine To End The War

"L'HEURE a découvert La Machine à finir la guerre"
Found this poster/magazine cover with a scifi-ish looking fighting machine that will end WW1.
L'Heure a Découvert La Machine Ã* Finir la Guerre [L'Heure has Discovered the Machine to End the War] (Art.IWM PST 2702)
That would make an interesting model.

Reminds me of the 1953 movie "War of the Worlds"

Funny you should mention that about War of the Worlds.
The other day I was on the 5th floor of a building and noticed a water tower way out on the horizon rising up over the far tree line. The viewing angle was such that it looked like it was on only three legs. My first thought when noticing it was that a Martian was on the move.

No photo, it didn't happen.

Seriously, take a photo when you see a Martian invasion.
Its newsworthy.

I don’t know. Seems like a single Jedi with a snow speeder could easily defeat this machine.

H.G. Wells published his book 'The War of the Worlds' in 1898. He became famous for his science fiction stories and novels - he even invented the name 'science fiction'.
His descriptions of the tripods are very graphic, and the picture Scetoaux found is very obviously based on those descriptions. Go to Google Images and look for Martian Tripods, and you will find dozens of very similar interpretations.
There used to be a good model by Erwin de Jong, based on Jeff Wayne's Musical version of WotW. Ihave the file - perhaps it is still available somewhere on the net. PM me and give me your mail address if you want it.

That Tsar tank is one weird looking vehicle. That input prompted some searching and led to this website https://weaponsandwarfare.com/2015/09/13/the-tsar-tank/ which has a link to Landships II which has a link to a shareware Tzar Tank model on HomespunMagixx.
