RMS Carpathia
A paper model of the hero ship that rescued Titanic's survivors would be awesome.

Excellent idea, what about some plans, do you know where I can find them?

Ecardmodels has a waterline SS Ivernia, the nearly identical twin sister to the Carpathia. You could probably just change the nameplates. Ivernia is significant to me as it is the ship my grandfather emigrated to America on. It is 1/400 scale, but I printed it at 200%, which made my model 1/200. The detail scaled perfectly, and in 1/200 scale it is about 35" long. In the picture, Ivernia is on the second shelf, left.

I didn't know the Carpahia had a twin ship. Anyway, this Ecard model is waterline. Don't they have it full hull?
You say it is "nearly" identical. Do you happen to know the differences between both ships? |

Actually the Ivernia was more similar to the Saxonia. From what I've read Carpathia was about 12m (40 ft) shorter than the Ivernia.

And Ivernia's stack was taller. Thus the word "nearly".

Ivernia and Carpathia have too many differences for me to want to purchase the ivernia model.
