Australian classic cars

I would really like to see them designed. Old Fords(AU) and Holdens. It's a shame there's no single Australian classic car in paper!(except very easy and to be honest, poorly designed ones). There're few nice models of the Mad Max V8 Interceptor and MFP Falcons , but I think the civilian Australian cars would be really appreciated.
Here's some of my suggestions:

Perentti Coupe
1969 Holden Monaro GTS
Holden Kingswood(doesn't matter which generation)
Ford Fairlane ZC and ZF
Ford Mainline Ute
Statesman HQ and HJ
Holden 48-215 (FX)
Holden Sandman
Ford Landau

I hope someone will consider designing them.
Let me know what you think, folks. If you have any other suggestions for Australian classics just add them here.

Leyland P76, we had one as our family car
A9X Torana, especially in HDT colours
Early model Gemini, because I had one.
Lloyd Hartnett. An obscure car, only about 100 were made, but my mum had one of them, and I have heard of the many adventures she and my dad had in it.

Some of these cars are very similar to more famous models, which would facilitate the design in paper.

The Perenti is basicaly a modified Corvette Stingray:

Being brazilian, I can say that the Holden Monaro is very similar to the brazilian Chevrolet Opala (First, the Monaro; after, the Opala):

This is also a tip for anyone who wants to try to design these Australian cars!

FYI the Perentti was not a modified Corvette.
It was a scratch built Australian car, built on a Holden truck chassis and drivetrain.
The body was fiberglass (I assume) and was created by modifying and redesigning the Corvette shape.

When I said "a modified Corvette", I was referring exactly to the similarity between bodies, as a reference for the design of the model (our biggest interest here).

Hi All,

And hi, PacificWind. Best of luck in your search for Cars of the Southern Cross.

Here in the States, we rarely see examples of the Australian auto industry, and that's a shame because some very interesting vehicles were produced. My focus centers on the 1950s utes...a standard car body of the time, often American, fitted with a pickup bed in the back. Cool cars.

For those interested in seeing some old iron in motion from The Land(s) Down Under, here are some Australian and New Zealand television shows that might be of interest.

Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries, Australian. 1920s and 1930s cars.

A Place to Call Home, Australian. 1950s cars.

The Doctor Blake Mysteries, Australian. 1950s cars.

The Brokenwood Mysteries, New Zealand. Current cars, but Detective Inspector Mike Shepard drives a white, 1971 Holden Kingswood, with a cassette player!

Score and fold,

Thumb Dog

We should also add to this list iconic Chrysler VH Valiant Charger.

airdave
, maybe you could make some kind of Australian classic for your koolwheelz collection? Your models are really nicely designed.

Isn't the Mad Max Ford a classic?

civilian Australian cars
I would never call police vehicle from s-f movie civilian. This thread is about civilian versions of the Australian classic cars. Mad Max cars are absolutely fantastic and I always got affection to these movies but I much more prefer cars "straight from the factory or straight from the streets".
