Paddle Wheel Aircraft Carriers

There were two of them, the Sable and the Wolverine. I think it would make a great model if someone has the skills I lack.

When I saw the lead line it just said "Paddle Wheel Aircraft". I almost shat myself thinking that now this crazy forum has come up with another aeriploane I had never heard of!!

Yes I have known about these aircraft CARRIERS. It is very interesting because in the past few years they have recovered quite a few SBD's, Wildcats, etc. form the very cold Great Lakes and they are still in surprisingly good condition.

Yep, those are some strange ships.
We did a discussion here back in '08.
Paddle wheel aircraft carrier!

This site has some information and a picture of USS Wolverine and USS Sable tied up to Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois.
