Hi All,

And hi, Butelczynski. Sorry, but the numbers are for my inventory purposes only. There's just the one u-boat.

I should mention that the model builds into a much stubbier version than the port-side elevation on the drawing would lead you to believe.

Part 19 in the drawing is, I believe, a second rudder that is attached to the deck at the stern of the boat. Early U-boats had this double rudder arrangement. I think that the model represents a class U-9 boat, even though it doesn't say that on the drawing. The history of the U-9 is well known in submarine lore, and for those unfamiliar with it, search the net for a fascinating story.

Score and fold,

Thumb Dog

Howdy Thumb Dog,

Would you please post a picture of the prop (screw) set up on the fan tail of
your model?

Also, Parts 15 & 16 have me baffled.

Parts 15,16 are propeller shaft supports. They go around propeller shaft (yellow "stick" on right side) where white band is.End goes into "R" hole in fuselage and propellers 17,18 go on ends (4 of them-2 lefts,2 right because front and back).
