Can anyone design a Tarkus
On the cover of Emerson Lake and Palmer’s album, “Tarkus” is a creature that is part armadillo, part WWI British tank. Could some talented soul create one to realize it in 3D?

He means this:
I use to hang out with fans of this kind of music but never got a hang of it.Iron Maiden was a lot more fun for my taste |

Perhaps we are separated in age by the years prior to Iron Maiden...

Listening to Tarkus right now! Thank you!
Never owned this album when I was younger but I always loved "Welcome Back My Friends" which is basically Tarkus and Brain Salad Surgery LIVE! ELP are such a tragic story in many ways. Possibly the three greatest musicians ever (real musicians will not argue this), been around longer than most bands, performed in many big name bands. And yet they never really reached the commercial success they deserved. To top it off... Greg Lake suffers for years and dies from Brain Cancer. Keith Emerson suffers Parkinsons, can't play Piano any more and commits suicide. Carl Palmer luckily, still teaches everyone how to play the drums! Still remember seeing Keith's flying spinning Piano at 1974's California Jam (on TV). But I was lucky enough to see ELP perform live in 1977. Took some crappy photos...not great but its the best I got.

Would a simple, low poly design work? Or are you looking for something more sophisticated?

The spikes might be a bit challenging compared to armadillo shell... half the size of a shoebox would be great. How would one make a poly resin variation?

the tank part is s simple enough trapezoidal shape the shell actually reminds me of the electronics hump from the a4 Skyhawk extended downwards the trickiest part would be the head, part fox like part snakelike with gun muzzles for nostrils. wouldn't want to try it though, textures look daunting
