My jawbone hurts from hitting the floor nearly every time you post. Supernice superdetail work there.

I am as much a paper purist as anyone. After the Fokker D.viii scratchbuild, there is a place for the random non-paper material. You are showing to be one of the masters of our craft!
Let no one speak ill of your "indiscretion"!

Looks great as always.
Was there need to put some counterweight in front in order to make model stand properly?

No, no need for counterweight. It's just stand right itself. BTW - model's weight now is about 1.8 kg. |

Paper purity is somewhat of a conceit. We engage in a scale modeling endeavor in which the modeler uses paper as his/her primary construction material.
That a competent or skilled modeler can use other materials to enhance the finished model does not detract a bit from the fact that it is, first and foremost, a paper model. The International Plastic Modelers' Society for many decades enjoyed the hubris of "purity". That all changed with the advent of alternative materials for adding detail to an otherwise plastic model. New technology caused quite a bit of confusion in the early days until we gained enough experience to deal with the "new stuff." During my tenure on the Executive Board of the USA Branch, we finally amended the Constitution to allow for the incorporation of alternative materials. Problem solved. In short, we finally acknowledged the fact that we were, first and foremost, a "Modeling" society. The medium/materials used was irrelevant. The fact that we rely on plastic model kits for our source material only sets the tone for our construction efforts. I'll look forward to purchasing a copy of your model and joyfully machining the landing gear out of metal, attaching it to a primarily paper airframe. Have you a publisher identified to make your creation available? Or, will you self-publish? Of course, ECardmodels.com would get my vote for a viable way of getting your product to market. But, that's just one idea. For my part, I would appreciate scale drawings of the various parts, perhaps at an additional cost. That would allow me to create the landing gears out of metal negating the step of building one first out of paper. I'm waiting patiently! Godspeed!
