Maybe a request maybe a goal

last night a little discussion happened between myself and the brother in law and this is what came up. First airplanes of nations airforces for example the Martinsyde Type A mk11 first plane bought by the Irish air corp so heres the goal idea dream call it what you wish. How about this for a project all 195 nations so how many have airforces and what planes were the first they owned or flew and if there is any card model of them planes out there and would it be easy to make them with the decals of them airforces. I looked and could not find a card model of the Martinsyde Type A mk11 I know some will look up and find that it was not the first flown by the irish air corp that goes to a Bristol fighter F2B

Great idea, the United World Airforce!

I have read that the Martinside was first too.

I always fancied a Spitfire in Irish colours and the little Fouga Magister, were they the last fixed winged craft?

I think the first part of this goal would be to compile a list of countries and planes! Sounds like a neat idea to me. LOT of work though

Second objective would be to collect lots of data on said planes This could make a very interesting endeavor! I would be willing to help out with this if you would like (possibly dig up designers, provide web space if you want to make a blog or page about the project etc etc)

thats what I be thinking chris In a way. I can add another plane to the list a state that does not exist do set up in 1966 or so and lost a civil war. Biafra their first plane was the b-26 marauder happen to know a daughter of the pilot of that plane.

If you can get specific livery info and we can establish provenance that goes away in making a high class model

One small problem that I can see.
The world map has changed quite a lot in the century+ that aviation has been around. A lot of todays nations didn't exist, and a lot of nations that existed before WWI are no longer around. Just look at a map of Europe from 30 years ago to see what I mean. Still, after saying all that I do like the idea.

there is no reason the idea needs to be limited to countries currently in existence I would say any country from anytime that had an airforce
